We booked a 7‑day camping stay and unfortunately the resort fell far short of expectations. 1. No Running Water & Excessive Charges At no point before arrival were we informed that there would be no fresh running water. Instead, guests are expected to buy essentials at inflated prices — R40 for 5L of water and R40 for a small bag of ice. This is completely unreasonable for a resort that markets itself as family-friendly. 2. Unfair Allocation of Camping Spots Our campsite was placed at the very furthest edge of the resort, in a dusty, sandy area. What made this worse is that several grass-covered, shaded spots closer to the pools remained open for our entire stay. It became clear that certain demographics were placed in the least desirable areas, while others consistently occupied the premium spots. This is extremely concerning and unacceptable. 3. Ablution Facilities The ablution block near our assigned area was noticeably inferior compared to the facilities near the pool area. Cleanliness and maintenance differed significantly, again raising questions about how guests are prioritised and treated. 4. Overpriced Activities & Poor Service The pricing for children and activities is excessive given how basic these offerings are. The cafeteria service is also extremely slow — we waited hours for simple items like pizza and chips. 5. Pools Too Small & Insufficient Seating The swimming pools are far too small for the number of guests, and there is nowhere near enough seating or shaded space around the pool area. While the company we travelled with made our trip memorable, I cannot say the same about the resort itself. The management’s treatment of guests, the lack of transparency, and the visible inequality in how camping spots and facilities are allocated make this a place we will not visit again.
