Ok so Keegans driving academy is now operating under the name Headstart driving academy- Same Keegan Holms - still flying under the Radar in Germiston - scams remain the same - my wife saw his Headstart driving academy ad on Facebook- offering to book ,pay ,collect the student - " everything from start to finish and up to any point inbetween" dependent on how much your budget is . She fortunately only paid R 650 into his Capitec account and the learners booking was "made" at Xavier Crossing . He did email some photocopied learners licence questions ( from headstartdrivingacademy@gmail.com ) and that was it .couldn't get hold of him to collect our son so I took him on the so called "booked " date only to be told by the licence dept. Staff that the booking was made, no payment was received so was canceled. When I mentioned Mr .Keegan Holmes name and the company, their response was " oh another one ." Despite numerous calls and whatsapps that went unanswered, he did eventually respond via whatsapp, apologising for the administrative "mix-up" and without any prompting-offered a full refund. He then immediately blocked my wife's number and I don't need to tell you about the refund. My wife then went on FB to ask had anyone seen or spoken with Keegan Holm and had they encountered similar problems -The response has been overwhelming...from across Gauteng amounts ranging from R 250 to R 5000 for learners licence bookings, drivers licence bookings , licence renewals and driving lessons and driving tests. It has become apparent that Mr .Holms has been quite active in scamming the public since 2012 ,although his active LinkedIn profile says he's been at it longer . His range of excuses are the loss of his son ( terrible use if an excuse) -the different people who have told me of his sons loss it seems this has been a regular event and quite a few expressed their doubts . He also uses some other calamity at home or sudden move to explain the non appearance of himself or the admin mistake. Once this FB thread was becoming apparent to his page he suddenly unblocked my wife on WhatsApp and contacted her pleading his case , his roof had apparently collapsed causing him to "forget " to attend to her refund ,but he was at a loss as to how the roof had caused her number to be blocked and "as soon as he gets some money in ,he will do the refund ". Based on the scores of other complainants responding on the FB thread ,the refund promise is another ploy. So be warned , regardless of the name of the business if the account is K.Holm , you will never see it again or the service you paid for. Interestingly though when I ran his business name on the trust index on Hellopeter it told me there were insufficient reviews to Guage the business ? And there is a lot of complaints on hellopeter linking the two businesses...going back to several years for the exact same scams
