After various emails and applications for jobs, I was displeased with the poor service and insulting remarks/responses from the CEO (Lucy Botha) of Kendrick Recruitment. After expressing my thoughts of being insulted and being told I should be 'advised' to get several more years of experience (In positions that are less senior to what the majority of my experience is) , I informed her that I was be publicizing my concerns. Shortly after I received missed calls and even a WhatsApp message and voice note with excuses and cover-ups. I am frustrated with the poor and selective service...even after I have given benefit of the doubt and heard her excuses. By poor service, I mean the lack of basic reading and understanding skills. As a Recruiter, it is essential to carefully read through CV's and references. This particular 'CEO' failed to get my age correct, as well as my previous years of experience and advised me to get several more years of experience, in positions that are lower. It was strongly implied that I do not have the necessary skills and knowledge about the position I was applying for. According to the job listings, I applied only for what I would meet the requirements of. To be told this is very insulting, belittling and unethical. I will not allow myself or anybody else to be so sarcastically and 'politely' belittled. I have several screenshots of the emails and WhatsApp conversations that I would like to make public. If anyone knows how I may do this, please response or contact me. Kind regards, Tevin

Let me warn all prospective hospitality clients or chefs or otherwise that this recruitment agency must be avoided at all costs. They will send out notifications for possible positions but in less than a minute you will receive a notification stating that you are not suitable for the position. No matter what position as a hospitality employee etc you apply for, your CV will be rejected. Now my issue with this is, has the client, who has employed them, seen the CV? Have the viewed all potential applicants? Is the choice to view CV's not with the client? Is the choice to hire an employee not with the client? In otherwords, as a client and I am not been given a number of choices for MY business by Kendrick recruitment because you assume to know what I want, then you are defrauding a number of applicants to be given equal opportunity to be employed and denying a client a service that you get paid for. A number of qualified chefs have submitted their CV's to Kendrick Recruitment and within minutes rejected. So avoid them and try another agency where you have a far better chance of being given the opportunity of an interview than just being simply rejected. Potential clients, save your money and use a rather more honest agency.
