I am beyond disappointed with the service (or lack thereof) from KFC Khayelitsha today. I placed an order for 24 Zinger Wings this morning specifically because I have guests over. KFC cancelled my order (Order #111855) because they "couldn't find a driver." While I understand logistics issues happen, the resolution process is completely unacceptable for a customer: 1. No Choice Provided: The order was cancelled and a refund was initiated automatically. I was never given the option to come and collect the food myself, which I would have gladly done to ensure my guests were fed. 2. Financial Hardship: Because it is a Sunday, the R 210.90 refund will take up to 72 hours to reflect. This has left me with no food for my guests and no money in my account to order from elsewhere. 3. Dismissive Customer Support: When I reached out for a resolution (Case CAS-3063526-H0V7J7), I received a generic apology call stating there is "nothing they can do" because the refund is already in progress. An apology doesn't feed my guests or put the money back in my account today. A customer-centric business would have offered a store credit/voucher to be used immediately or allowed a manual override for collection. KFC took my money instantly but expects me to wait three days to get it back while I sit with an empty table. Extremely poor form.
