King George hospital pathetic service.
The service delivery is so pathetic. There is no proper communication with the patients nor are the nurses helpful. They expect us to just find our way. I write this review as I sit and wait in the hospital for my grandmother who has been waiting to be checked since 4. An hour ago there were 9 patients in front of her and now there are still 9 patients. So I guess this hospital wants us to spend 10 hours sitting in one place. Absolutely pathetic and then the staff and guards have time to congregate and laugh around when there are patients that's are in distress. Just because it's a public hospital doesn't mean it has to be so ****ty. And then people want to know why this country has so many problems. Well if our health care facilities are pathetic then what do they expect. I've been here for 3 hours now. What's the point of calling it an emergency ward if the patients aren't being taken care off in time.

01 Feb 2025, 20:55To add to this, it's now 11 and we're still waiting. The staff is so rude it's actually embarrassing for this place to be called a hospital. My grandmother is so.old and is unable to stand up on her own yet they deman a urine sample and send no nurse to help. So what are they there for. Apparently to model around and laugh so loud that it echos through the hospital. Then you have these *********** security that tell you you can't sit here, I've moved 3 times already. And mind you they have tons of chairs. Then the cleaning lady acts like she has so much of authority. She tells us the floor is wet and that too in a rude manner and further says we should use the other way, which is to to go outside. I mean in what world do we treat patients like this. It's such an embarrassment to this country. I'm embarrassed to even say I'm south African. How pathetic is our health care. The biggest joke on the planet. And now we have to wait in another line. Imagine that. Patients mean nothing in this place. Every oath and promise the health care department makes has been broken. What a joke. I literally saw a man collapse and not a single nurse came to help. Nor did the security, I saw them all look and turn the other way. A women went to help, and she went to get a wheelchair, not a nurse. It's an embarrassment to say you work in this joke of a hospital. Now I understand why future med students decide to leave the country early. I know nothing will.be done about this but I won't stop until something does happen. Imagine as front line workers, this is the way you treat patients.

01 Feb 2025, 21:12I really wish I could attach images because I'd attach an image of this board they have here about putting patients first. How ironic, it's hypocrisy at its best. And then have rights if a patient which is another joke. They never follow through.
