I took my car to their service department as it was in limp mode. They diagnosed & said I need new diesel fuel injectors. 3 days later they call me to look at quote. R28 000 to refurbish or R58 000 for new. On my own I imported new injectors for R22 800. Refurbish would only have cost R12 000. They deny any of this as they had sent the injectors to Macenzies diesel in Pinetown. The 2 companies are protecting each other so they will not let me know what Macenzies quoted to refurbish. Labour & testing is only R4000 maximum. As soon as I discovered what is going on, Macenzies said they are suddenly fully booked and cannot fit my job in. I am beyond disgusted and appalled by this behaviour. The past week my car cut out twice again and I went to a brilliant trustworthy mechanic who informed me that there is nothing wrong with my injectors and he discovered the problem whithin minutes. A faulty R350 fuel filter that was damaged and clogged so it sucked air and had limited fuel getting through. When I approached Kloof car sales workshop with this new knowledge I was told to get off the property, I have no idea what I am talking about, I have a lot to learn and so forth. They could still not explain the difference between R58 000 vs R28 000.
