Since moving to Sedgefield we have conscientiously paid our lights / water and rates account. In May 2020, we read in the local paper that we were eligible for pensioners water and electricity allocation. We applied timeously but were then told that the application date had been extended. We waited. In August 2020 we heard that had qualified for this allocation. Since then (now 4 months later) it has been an ongoing battle. We have contacted various departments, received a reference number (Reference 888484) and return emails. The last email simply stated that the company which installed the water meter is no longer contracted to the municipality... no solution in sight!
