I am Christo Reynders from Vanderbijlpark and contacted Mark Dstv Installers working for Kobus Electronics / Kobus Dstv Installers to repair my DSTV signal and recording and they charged me R7 609.00 and other providers quoted R2 090.00. The fees they charged were unreasonable relative to the work performed. They inflated the labour charges and overstated the material costs which were not authorized. Legally, they overcharged me which constitutes a breach of contract or *****ulent activity. There charges were outside agreed-upon scope: R3 480.00 for a DStv multiswitch / Tv splitter - 4 x the price of a new one, R1 680.00 for a LNB (Low-Noise Block) that were never faulty - 4 x the price of a new one. They charged me R1 999.00 for labour and they only spent 40 minutes on the job. I am frustrated, disheartening, devastated, disappointed and furious because they are ********* Dstv Installers and I'm a pensioner who were ******!! I have received no replies on two of my emails to Kobus Electronics and Mark the contractor refuses to take my calls!! I am filing a complaint at the National Consumer Commission as well as the Consumer Goods and Service Ombud. I am also reporting this on Google Reviews as well as Facebook Community Groups. Very Unhappy Customer!!!
