This is the 6th time I've visited this restaurant and the 2nd time I've had a bad experience with the same server. We got there, were waited on by a very polite and professional waiter. We placed our drinks order and it came in a jiffy. He placed our food order and it came just as promptly. Before taking our food order he mentioned going on lunch at 12, no problem. Now this is where it goes South. We finished our meal, my sister had about half of her burger left, Gracias comes to our table (Gracias is the same person who gave us a bad experience the last time) , he asks if we're fine, we say yes thank you, we're ready for the bill and a take away box for the left overs. He says sure, I will bring it now. We then end up waiting for THIRTY TO THIRTY FIVE minutes for the bill and box. We tried flagging him down. Flagging our initial waiter down, nobody pays any attention to us. Mind you, at this point we're starting to get irritated because we were seated outside in the heat. The left over burger is starting to get stale and nobody is paying any attention to us. I got up, went inside , found Gracias and our initial waiter at the till point and said listen we've been waiting for almost 40min ,when are you bringing the bill and box? Gracias generates the slip, asks for the entertainer code (because we're using the entertainer app). I said can you come to the table please because the code is on my sister's phone, then I left and went back to the table. He follows not long after and tells my sister to give the code. She is trying to explain to him that she'd like a new bun because this one had been out in the sun for 40min while we were waiting , he refuses to listen and demands the entertainer code. Then he grabbed her phone from the table and we asked him why are you taking her phone, he retorts back with "give me the code" and she says "but why are you taking my phone"? Next thing you know, he says "don't be rude , don't be arrogant". I was so baffled by the level of toxic masculinity exuded by this individual, it blew my mind. I was stunned. I asked him why he's saying we're rude and arrogant , what did we do or say that was rude or arrogant? He then responded with a "You're always doing this, I know you did this before". Clearly he was referring to the bad review I posted on their Facebook page last year when he did the exact same thing. Made us wait for 30 to 40min in a restaurant that was not even full. So if I left a bad review the last time why have you not upped your game or do you just go around targeting people who give you bad reviews? None the less, I asked him to hear us out, he refused and said "I'M DONE WITH YOU" , threw the takeaway box on the table and left. The CHEF and a whole bunch of other waiters then came to rectify the situation which includes the bill, box and new bun. GRACIAS left in a huff like we had done something wrong to him. He has poor customer service skills, he doesn't know how to speak without coming across as aggressive and arrogant when he is in the wrong. He needs Essential Assertiveness Training. The day and service started out great, the food was excellent but when our waiter went on lunch and Gracias took over it went south fast. It felt like he was trying to imply we post bad reviews so that we can be offered free stuff which is horse**** because we've never had this issue elsewhere or with anyone else. He is the problem. Where was the owner or manager or does this place run itself or is Gracias the manager? God help us all if he is. Such a nice day and nice experience that got overshadowed by his negative attitude. Mind you, I've sent the owner messages on Instagram and to date, no response. This incident occured a month ago.

The worst experience, ever! My sister and I went to for a brunch date at this place, and to be honest, it started out quite pleasantly. We were served by a lovely waiter, until the manager made his appearance at our table. We asked for take away-box and emded up waiting more that 30min for this box to arrive. When we eventually asked for the manager, he came to our table amd displayed the most arrogant behavior I have ever experienced. He went as far as to take my phone from the table, and when I asked him why he did that (since it's my personal property), he proceeded to tell me I was being rude. He, figuratively, messed in my mouth amd never gave me am opportunity to speak. He then uttered the following :"I am done with you!" He told us he didn't care that we'd write a review and stormed off, resulting in the take away box (brought to us by another waiter) flew off the table. I was so disgusted at this arrogant, pompous individual's behavior, because, clearly, he was judging us based on our appearance. This was NOT the first experience of this kind that I had with this manager. He's behavior was absurd, amd the way he handled us, paying customers I might add, was blatantly disrespectful. People like this must be dealt with accordingly.

We went to Durbanville for breakfast today. We were given no choice of whether we wanted to sit inside or out. Table for 3 over there is what we were told. No menus given; I had to go and get my own. We waited for 15 minutes before we were served. The waitresses were all busy so a member of the kitchen staff came to take the order. She could only serve coffee. We placed our breakfast order at 10am. They were fairly busy but it did look like a popular spot as many people came to the door looking for tables. There was a large table with 21 people sitting inside. It was very noisy which is understandable. 20 minutes after we placed our order we were told that the large table's order was placed before ours and our food would take a bit longer. We waited an hour and a half for our breakfast. The food was cold and not great. No apologies were made and the owner/manager never came and explained. Bad communication and terrible service. Will not be going back!
