Our recent stay at the Kruger National Park Mopani accommodation was unfortunately disappointing due to the state of the facilities. While we fully understand that a national park setting does not typically offer luxury or upgraded amenities, a basic standard of cleanliness should be expected—especially given the expense of the accommodation.
During our stay, we noted several hygiene concerns. The bathroom shower showed significant mould growth, which created an unpleasant and concerning environment. In the kitchen, we found ****roaches in the cupboards as well as inside the provided pots and pans. Additionally, the crockery appeared poorly cleaned; several plates still had solidified food residue on them.
These issues detracted significantly from our overall experience. Cleanliness is a fundamental expectation for any guest facility, regardless of its location or rustic nature. While we appreciate the unique environment of the park, we feel that better upkeep and hygiene standards should be prioritised to ensure visitors can fully enjoy their stay.
