This year my family and I were ****** of our annual holiday week by Kwa Maritane Timeshare ( Kwats) and Resort ******iniums International (RCI). I have been contractually with Kwats for over 3 decades. At the start of the year I called RCI as a subscriber, requesting their help with a change of holiday destination. They said they could not help with the dates requested at our requested destination. They said I have to spacebank the week, but I refused since they could not help with my request. Nevertheless, without my knowledge, they apparently informed Kwats my week was now with them. At the end of May, Kwats sent me their usual Letter of Instruction about whether, where and how I would spend my annual week. I could use it, transfer it to another resort or bank it with them. I immediately informed Kwats by return of email that I would occupy my unit at Kwa Maritane as usual in mid-September. In the week before occupancy, I received daily phone calls wherein Kwats informed me that the unit had been given to another customer. This was because by my instructions, my week was in possession of RCI. I denied this and reminded them of the Letter of Instruction I had sent in June and August. I thought the matter was settled, only for my family and I being turned away on arrival at Kwa Maritane to access our rightful week. Both Kwa Maritane and RCI have shown egregious lack of ethics and basic decency in this. Buyers be warned!

I went to this fine establishment for on my birthday on 6th on November and I enjoyed the meal untill the bill came and we started having problems with the speed point and I had to use to sperate cards. I should the waiter the money went off my account on both cards. He said it will reverse back in my account. I have spent more than a week trying to get my money back. I have sent them both transactions which I was promised that it will done last week Friday nothing was paid. Yesterday I was promised before the end of the day still nothing has been done. I would like to seek a way forward

Wish we could give less than 1 star. Horrendous experience and made to feel like an inconvenience rather than a guest. Absolutely disgusted by kwa maritane. As an avid visitor of kruger and pilansburg we have previously had great experiences at Kwa Maritane but this time has been dismal to say the least. We reported the aircon to be told we just need to wait for it to cool down. After a night of not being able to sleep as hot wind blew down on us and humidity rose we decided to miss our game drive due as we were exhausted but we get woken by terrible noises coming from the tanks every time someone flushes or turns on a tap. Before 7 we report these concerns before we go to breakfast where we are once again shocked by what should be a 4* offering. Tinned fruits, yoghurt and cereal are the only cold food on offer, reheated bacon and refried mushrooms some of the stars of the hot offering and for breads we found there is no jam or honey. Waiting staff are non existent and with not even a juice available we confront staff who then finally bring juice to our table after our breakfast. Still demonstrating a lack lustre performance we discover by 10 o clock that the aircon has not even been checked out by maintanence manager. Somehow missing the maintenence manager on returning to room we get phoned to tell us we are being moved and a 30 min wait for a porter!!! As a previous customer to kwa maritane, we will now recommend to our friends and family to not support kwa maritane and rather visit fin foot if you have kids. We were there last month and the staff and experience were amazing!!! Kwa Maritane cannot stand by the stars it so proudly advertises

Dear Legacy Hotel, Not sure if I am rating the same place as other guests! It just does not warrant anything more than 2 stars and certainly not a place I would recommend to my valued German guests. If you are a potential guest, please carefully consider your choice of this premium priced establishment - you should explore alternatives unless you self cater. The room is comfortable. It is not self catering, so the restaurant is a vital feature of our stay. At 1st glance it was not bad. However, we soon realised that this must be one of the worst restaurants we have experienced since our student years. With no alternative options and 2 days to go, the “Barcelos” fast food delivery is now probably the only viable alternative we have (I noticed their delivery bike when we entered and it now makes sense!). It was soon evident that the staff is either new or not trained and the chef probably weekend off. I hope the morning game drive and spa will counter our disappointment. Few examples: chicken bones in our chicken mayonaise lunch sandwich / dinner presentation and quality was terrible / our table was not clean and upon cleaning we were both accidentally sprayed with a strong chemical / service was non-existing and had to revert to reception to request service / the spingbok was not edible (although a bottle of Tabasco and red wine made it tolerable) / the neighbouring table with 8 guest was also very vocal on their bad experience. // Yet, I am amazed at the many 5 star reviews and rated as a 4 star establishment - this cannot be possible! As always my reviews are honest and done in good faith to provide the team an opportunity to reflect what the “legacy standard” is all about. I strongly suggest you visit your own restaurant and measure it against your own standard. “ A Legacy property is not about its bricks and mortar, the spacious rooms or fine restaurants. Visiting our world is about discovering something new, something amazing, a place where you will experience special moments to cherish for a lifetime.” Kind regards

In Afrikaans there is a saying.: 'Ontspan die boude!' it means Time to Chill! We went for a short midweek break that is close to home at Kwa Maritane resort in the Pilanesberg. Whenever you want to recharge your battery or just be, Kwa Maritane is the place to be. It is close to JHB and Pretoria. The game reserve is awe inspire and the restaurant at Kwa Maritane is world class. You can stay in and rest, discover peace and rediscover yourself or you can have a ball doing many other things. I can honestly say our KM break was one of the best breaks ever and this will become a yearly celebration. It's a nature lovers heaven! #BelindaJoubert
