Last year we had booked at the same place yet we had the most amazing time thinking it would be the same again.no ways terrible experience and as for tge receptionist shes a **** they all like to twist their words.at first we got to the place they gave us ground floor so I requested our rooms to be changed to the upper floor they said oh no there are no availability yet the whole place was so quiet but so I left that I said never the less we here but they could have given me an option as I am paying for the accommodation its not a free stay.thereafter that afternoon my mother was in the kitchen preparing some snacks we see little ****roaches running around so we boiled water in the kettle and poured them over .we complained to the receptionist and the headnof house keeping as there was no manager around the whole weekend.keep in mind we did show the receptionist the ****roach was also in the fridge so she has sen the ****roach in the fridge and on tge counter top.oh and the best is yet to come my son went into the water on that friday afternoon and we he got out the pool that day he comes to me complaining my thighs are burning so I assumed he had a Jean shorts on maybe it was wet and his thighs rubbed so we app**** Vaseline and he went to bed because it was not that bad next day Saturday between midday and the afternoon he complains again while in the water mum my legs are burning taking him out the pool I took off his shorts his skin on his thighs were like burn marks so we took him to the room washed out the chlorine still he couldn't put his legs together crying with pain went and complained they said they will speak to someone but manager will be back on Monday only later that day they brought a small sachet of burn cream and that was it Monday came manager says oh no they dont exceed the chlorine in the water but she will get it tested and the receptionist told the manager there was a spec on the counter not a ****roach what exactly and how will I benefit from lieing my son was in so much pain she says oh he looks like he has some kind of rash yet we have told them two other kids also had similar issues and my mother had to take the kids to their rooms so I my opinion im never going back to that horrible place I suggest you guys also dont even think about it the place is beautiful yes no doubt about that but my experience of going for a welll deserved holiday my son is suffering

Not recommended as a family holiday destination, due to the fact this is not an ideal place if you looking for a variety of things too do besides swimming pool. There is nothing for the kids to do or entertain themselves with, neither are there any amenities too make use of at this place. Upon arrival we had too get an inventory done (which is norm) but the way it was conducted like we are here to ***** their items. It says wifi is accessible throughout the this place when I tried to log on it kept cutting off as there was no signal in my room, I was then was told my phone is an issue that's why I'm not able to get consistent connection, this also app**** to the other phones. Secondly never have I ever heard of paying for AIRCON vouchers at any of my holidays or stays be it local or abroad (R50 last u approx 6 hrs) absolutely absurd come to think of it. Then despite paying for this norm function it breaks down for a day & a half. We then find out our geyser is broken so we were then told to vacate our room for almost half the day only too find out it still doesn't work. So we had to have cold showers/bathes, incl my small kids. Smaller issue is that we had to wash our own dishes & put it away as staff will not be doing this, are you kidding, we on holiday. Also staff will only be avail during office hours? If there are any issues kindly direct it to security. Then on departure we have too wait for them to do the inventory check again (norm), but now I have too pay for a hanger, dirty sheets, and then very arrogantly saying, oh sorry there's 4 towels missing, then she says to me excuse me can I check my bags, seriously? I will not advise any person/s or family to book la lucia sands unless you on business.

Would Not Recommend! Got Charged extra to use the Aircon and theres no refund on un used Aircon Coupons, Cleaning staff does not wash Dishes, poor WiFi signal, Got Charged extra also for a stain on a pillow case that had to be washed anyway. Staff is very petty.

My experience with Asheen Ramdhani she is rude and unhelpful, pathetic experience. We visited the place between in January 2020 with my husband. upon checking out we forgot our valuable item, half way to JHB we called the place to advise we have forgotten something they must keep it safe as we frequent Durban. Unfortunately lockdown happened, in level 4 it happened that we had a business in Durban and we went to the La lucia, security advised they are still closed . Level 3 we went there again, we were told they are busy with renovations. Country was opened mid August. September 11 we went again and they told us 3 months has lapsed and they threw away our valuables and her words were they put it in a trash bin and there's nothing they can do. how can 3 months we lapsed when they were the ones closed. But this lady attitude is the worse i have ever experienced in my life.
