Do not do business with this guy! I ordered a trackpad that had cost me R747.50 for an acer laptop and received on the 30th of November 2024. Before installing the trackpad. I decided to try and install drivers from the acer website and to my surprise, it worked! I then asked if I could get a refund on the part as it hasn’t been used and this is what he said “ The agents ask Restocking fee of 30% plus the courier fee to send it back to them R110”. I then agreed and said it fine I understand and drove to his place to drop it off on the the 4th of December as it was my day off. It’s the 19th of December and I have still not received my refund. I doesn’t take three weeks to do a simple refund. Already I have lost some of what I have paid, but he still refuses to refund the the balance which is not even a lot. It’s not about the money, it’s about the principal. Every time I ask about the refund he says that he is waiting for acer to send him a credit. 3 WEEKS!!!! I will never do business with Laptop Mechanic ever again and I wouldn’t recommend anyone. 100% Bad service.
