Scammed for R300 by LBN Trading Hub Social Media Marketing (Nolene Govender)

Hello all. This review serves to make you aware and also very cautious of a certain unscrupulous individual that uses WhatsApp groups and other social media to advertise her social media marketing business.

The aim is also to prevent you from being robbed of your hard earned money like she did to me. The person advertises under the name Nolene Govender trading as LBN Trading Hub Social Media Marketing.

Seeing her fancy, catchy ads, I contacted her on 11 October 2021 with a serious aim of using her online marketing services as I really wanted to improve the marketing of my products and services. Dealing with her is the biggest regret that I have!

Firstly, she had asked me for money upfront before she could even do anything and she kept persistently pushing for that payment to be made. On Friday, 15 October 2021, I had deposited an amount of R300 into her Capitec bank account for a WhatsApp 4 months advertising service package (Oct 2021 - Jan 2022).

No work had started at that point and after I noticed how terrible the service and her attitude were, I asked for a full refund on the 18 October 2021.

From that point onwards, she started getting very difficult with me. She even threatened to deduct for her bank charges and also charge me for a call that she had made to me to drum up business prior to me paying her. That is total nonsense as those are her business costs. The R300 was paid solely for advertising but unfortunately from then until today I am still without my refund.

Last follow up was on the 1 November 2021, in which I received an automated text message reply saying that she was unavailable.

I will never see my money again so please be very careful when dealing with devious people and businesses like these that give honest digital marketing service providers a very bad name. Also beware of upfront payments too before making them. Wonder how many others she has done this too and will do it to in future!
