Leapfrog rental agency disappointing
Very dissapointed I have rented a place milnerton Tijgerhof for 4 years and have been a loyal payer all along. Even kept my mouth while i was wrongly accused of *****ing power and tampering with the meter box this came from Keigleigh. I didnt want to sign another 1 year lease as the place is falling apart. I said il do 6 months. Strange just after that i got notice from landlord to be out the next month.Leapfrog “keigleigh” said said that she has no clue why. I was pressured to find a place within a month. A week before i moved out she said that there is tenants that want to view my flat. I was confused just to realise it is family member he wants to help out and inconvenience me as a loyal payer. Now that i moved out an exit inspection was done but never had an entrance inspection so how do u measure this up or against something. I moved in and window has a crack with airforce bases just close by all the planes that come of it slowly cracked even further i have to pay. They keeping a R2000 behind. I moved out the 30 April 2025 and up to now my deposit NOT been refunded.This is ridiculous almost 4 weeks from moving out!!!! She is not in a hurry and this is my money that is accumulating intrest in there bank account.

However, we would like to clarify several key points relating to your tenancy at the property, as managed by our agent Keileigh. You opted not to renew your lease due to disagreement with the standard annual rental escalation. As a result, you remained on a month-to-month agreement. Once a new tenant was secured, you were given more than sufficient notice to vacate the premises in accordance with legal and industry norms. Regarding the crack in the window, there are clear photographic records taken prior to your move-in that show no evidence of damage. Additionally, shortly after occupation, your partner sent a detailed email outlining the faults observed in the apartment—this correspondence did not mention any crack in the window at the time. Concerning the deposit, we reached out to you explaining that we were unable to refund the full deposit without your consent to retain a portion pending the outcome of an insurance claim to cover repair costs. Unfortunately, we did not receive a response, which delayed the process. We have since received confirmation from the insurer and explained the small deduction from your deposit to you over email. It is also important to note that the landlord has acknowledged a reimbursement owed to you for the installation of astroturf. Therefore, the deposit refund due to you will be the full amount plus interest, less the excess, plus the reimbursement. We hope this provides clarity and trust that this resolution is now satisfactory.
