This is a Formal Complaint Regarding illtreatment at Legends Barbershop, Newcastle Mall
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unacceptable treatment my children and I received at your establishment located in Newcastle Mall, Newcastle KZN, on Wednesday, December 9, 2026.
My two sons, aged 10 and 6, were registered for haircuts and we waited patiently to be attended to. While waiting, I requested that my 10-year-old son remain insite the shop in a visible area so I could briefly purchase food for him, ensuring he could see when his turn approached. The gentleman at the reception agreed to this arrangement.
When it was my son's turn, the receptionist acted with extreme impatience, shouting that we needed to hurry up. While I was rushing to expedite the process so one of my sons could receive his haircut quickly, the receptionist called the next person in line before my son was ready.
This experience left me feeling deeply hurt, embarrassed, and humiliated due to the lack of respect shown by Legends Barbershop staff. As a regular customer, I find this behavior particularly disappointing, especially considering that children often require extra patience for haircuts, which I consistently try to encourage.
It has become clear why my children dislike visiting your barbershop; it appears there is a distinct lack of tolerance or understanding regarding younger customers, and perhaps a preference for other clients. This level of unprofessionalism is disheartening.
I was disgusted by the actions taken by your staff. I request that appropriate action be taken to correct this type of behavior directed towards children and customers immediately.
