I had the misfortune of dealing with Charles Mandaza in my most recent move through another company he owns, Leopard Removals. I have never dealt with him in his capacity as the owner of TA Upholstery. But all I can say is, he is the most revolting and obnoxious human being I have ever dealt with. Completely unplayable and is also very quick to go back on verbal/what’s app undertakings (which are in-fact binding). My story below: Yesterday we were due to move home. We notified Leopard Remohers that we would need a big truck and a trailer to move. Our furniture was based in Paarden Eiland at Stor-age and had been previously packed and wrapped by another company. The truck started loading at 9:00 am. Three men were tasked with loading a 47 m cubed storage unit (big unit). The furniture arrived at our house at 21:00hrs. Not only that, half of our stuff has been delivered, the rest tomorrow. We have been liaising with Charles Mangaza, the owner of Leopard Removers, he has been one of the most obnoxious and rude people I have ever dealt with. The worst part is that his drivers have notified us that they do not get paid overtime and often sleep in the truck. We have paid the deposit but Charles has informed us he will not be letting the drivers offload the rest of our load (which consists of our beds) until we pay the balance which is due upon delivery, despite the fact that the other half of our load is only due ‘sometime’ tomorrow and that it is now going on 22:00hr. we have two couches and a server offloaded in the house and we do not have all of our furniture here. We had laid our R6000 deposit and the rest was to be paid upon delivery. Last night he also entered into a verbal agreement that the cost would be R6000, as per the contract, instead of adding on an additional R3000 for a cancellation earlier in the week owing the fact the house we were moving into wasn’t ready. This morning, he told us to pay the R9000 or we couldn’t get the furniture. His men finished off loading at our house around 23:30. And then had to sleep in their truck outside as it was too late to make the long drive back to Cape Town. They also wouldn’t have had transport home upon their arrival in Cape Town. We fed them and tried to make it as comfortable as possible. They also stated they do this on the regular when they run late. Please stay away from Leopard Removers, we have dealt with numerous furniture removal companies in the past and we have never been treated so badly. I have no words for Charles Mandaza and his attitude. Just an FYI: he also owns Leopards Panel Beaters as well as TA Upholstery and Auto Trimmers.

I used this business about a year ago to repair and spray a work trailer and received great service and the quality of repair was good so when I needed another job done I went back. It turned out to be a big mistake. I bought a trailer for camping and took it to Charles at Leopard Panel Shop. I met with him and explained what I wanted done and explained that I needed it in 3 weeks to take on a camping trip organised by my wife for my 48th birthday. I paid the deposit and waited. A week before the trip I called to see if it was ready and Charles said he had forgot and would “burn the midnight oil” to get it to me in time for the trip. What he said he meant literally because it looked like he made his staff work all night and were not happy doing it. Besides half the jobs not being done, what was done looked like it was done in a back yard and not a panel shop. I will let the images speak for themselves but the damage to the trailer was so bad I returned it the next day and requested it be repaired to a decent state. I should have asked for my money back because the repairs became patch work as they used epoxy filler to fill in the holes made by overcuts by grinder on the aluminium body and made a shockingly lethal sides without tuning besides the host of other amateurish attempts like making stays for the gas riders from s**** metal. I was not happy with the reparations and I requested that the parts, the wheel arches and roof rack be removed and my money returned. Charles said they had made a mistake and they do not refund money. Please take a look at these photos and see if this was done by a panel shop. I am without my money and my trialer is beyond economical repair as the aluminium entire box will need to be replaced.
