This shuttle is generally great unless you are of course black! I asked for 5 minute grace due to an unforeseen accident. I asked for that 5 minutes as soon as I realised I might not make it on time. Not when the shuttle was about to leave, I notified the helpdesk of my situation 45 minutes before departure. I am citing this as a racial issue due to past and present experience. Previously, I have seen the people in charge over here bend over backwards for other people of the white race, they have made announcements and apologies of delays due to a passenger situation. This same grace has however not been extended to me, a black person. The person who picked up the phone also made sure to let me know that this is not “a taxi rank” and we all know the exact meaning of that connotation. I was 4 minutes late and they didn’t even try, they then told me to try the next station which was 5 minutes away from the primary station but I was told that I need to be there in 5 minutes ? How when I still had to find my way around the airport? Bad service, if you’re black…check others first! Or rather make a noise if they ever try to make you wait for white passengers! I asked the person at help desk if I could move my shuttle, he said no!!! He kept shouting at me saying I should stop calling. I am disappointed and hurt!
