Review your service providers
Not sure how you select your service providers but I do suggest you do a decent check on them as they are not the best when it comes to service . Resulting in giving local pros a bad name . I will not recommend any one to use your service again as I am waiting now almost a month for nkageng skips to pick up their skip. A service provider you suggested.

Regency Aluminium
Contacted them, looking for someone to quote for Aluminium Back Stable door and window, plus installation. Received three quotes, but first contact was with Marvin from Regency Aluminium. We accepted their quote. They just finished the job. They work very neatly, and did an exceptional job. Would definitely recommend Regency Aluminium for all aluminium needs.

Swift Response and understands an emergency. Even though I didn’t go through with the service but I was overall happy with their response time and the instant quote. I would definitely recommend

Shower and tiles by local pros
I’d like to give feedback on a job done by someone from local pros- tiling a shower and fitting the shower doors. Someone from local pros that admitted he doesn’t tile anymore were sent to do the job - he mentioned this when he started struggling and wasn’t upfront from the start. It took 5 days. It is not neat at all. Now the drain is clogged with cement. If he can’t do the job why was he sent for this? I spend money to get something done according to standard. I trusted the website that said you do tiling and renovations. Now I sit with a shower that I’m not happy with. The plumbers that came to fix the drain couldn’t believe the mess that was made

Local Pros Do not vet vendors for public safety
In latter January 2025, i sourced a person through Local Pros in Port Elizabeth to replace 2 kitchen cupboard panels. The vendor, Cape Carpenters in Newton Park, owner named Ernest agreed an overall price of R2500 with 50% down-payment to order the panels. As the invoice looked professional and legitimate, I processed the R1250 in good faith to his Standard Bank a/c more than a week in advance of the job card i.e.14 Feb 2025. Ernest was a no-show on the day. I contacted him and he presented all kinds of excuses promising to meet the following day. Again a no show. Local Pros referred this vendor. They claim to connect customers with experienced and vetted home service professionals in your area, but my experience is contrary to what they proclaim. I had to take up the matter myself with both Standard Bank and Absa ***** division to have my monies reimbursed to me. While Local Pros did try to assist by freezing the service providers account until payment was made, ultimately I could only wait in trepidation that same would be paid back to me. In my opinion the Banks were better at assisting me in a matter that should never have materialised in the face of a customer. I will never recommend using Local Pros to anyone. Daniel/Ashley from Local Pros, your company obviously does not vet as you claim and you place customers at risk. I do not want apologies from yourselves or Local Pros as an online marketplace, I simply want people to do their jobs properly, abstain from hollow promises to sutomers and provide authentic services that protect consumer interests!
