Public of SA specially Mpumalanga, Lydenburg DON'T DEAL WITH KEY JUNKY LOCKSMITHS Ironically their name describes their service!! INSISTING!!!! full payment from clients-senior citizens on a quote, and then for months you end up not delivering what you paid for.... with shabby bad workmanship and nobody with the knowledge to fix and install the Garage doors in 100% working order. ALSO, NOWHERE ANY E MAIL ADDRESS??!! on any quote or invoice.... PROBABLY TO AVOID BEEN EXPOSED ON SOCIAL MEDIA.. Well, take note of Their contact no is 013 7528074 /0722583713/0732885163 or 064 787 9634 as on google Dirk and Gert and I copy and paste"Key Junky Locksmiths is your door's BEST FRIEND" ???!!! Is it not ironic that their company name has the word JUNKY in it Is that maybe an unspoken warning to what you can expect Every day for months on end another excuse for not fixing it. NO SUPPLIER WORTH OF HIS NAME WILL DEMAND A 1005 DEPOSIT FIRST BIIIIIG RED LIGHT. There are many of these ****mers and especially when they deal with ladies. Shame on them/ They leave you no other choice as to approach an attorney to recover your money and THAT IS WHY they should be named and shamed on all possible platforms on social media TO PREVENT other pensioners to fall in the same trap. The ombudsman Consumer council and local whatsapp groups. We've got OUR money let's hit the road We are the only supplier in town so let hit them and run No respect for clients -just about money money money DONT TO BUSINESS WITH KEY JUNKY LOCKSMITHS LYDENBURG

I needed a locksmith and phoned 24/7 locksmith services. They then sent the locksmith Nardie Greoenwald to my residence. This person drilled open my front door and broke the lock of the safety gate. I asked him if this how locksmiths open doors since I have no experience with locksmiths. He assured me that this was the only way to open the door and the safety gate. Before even assessing anything, he asked if I needed the locks replaced, I said please just open up I will deal with that later. I paid him R2000 after he completed the job. He refused to leave me premises before payment reflected in his account. I told him this was not good business practice yet I accepted and comp****. My problem is that I now have two broken locks that I need to fix. Upon inquiries to replace this I learned that the locksmith should not have damaged my locks and that breaking locks and damaging them should have been his last resort which it was not. It was his first and only option. I brought this to his attention however he said I agreed to him breaking my locks. I responded that I did agree to this because I trusted him as the expert in an emergency situation and he advised me that this was the only option. I have since found out that this was not the only option. He then advised me to phone the call centre for complaints, knowing that the call centre is not a managing agent but merely puts customers and service providers in touch with each other. I did not know this at the time and only found this out on Monday 10 November when I phoned the call centre. The call centre agent explained to me that they are not a company and they only assign locksmiths when customers phone. He then argued with me when I told him they never explained their operating procedures. He then directed my complaint to the locksmith and abruptly ended the call mid-conversation when I told him I have proof that I never received any message outlining their procedures.

Imagine pay a whole of R4000 without receiving the serving that was promised. They were suppose to fix my truck ignition year 2020 and they never payed it back nor fix the truck ignition however they still took the money without providing the service. Jabulane Nene

On Wednesday the 15 June 2022, I had a bad experience. My house keys broke as I was opening the door. I then called locksmith, they asked for my location. I asked them for a quote and they never gave me. So they sent one of their guys...I asked him before he left midrand for the price and he never gave me he said his prices are affordable . So he got to my house in Kempton park. When he arrived I had already removed the door handles. He unhooked the door and damaged the lock system. After that he sent me an invoice of R1595😭😭😭, I didn't have that kind of money, I asked for my brother and the lock smith guy started threatening me because he could see that I was struggling to put the money together. I said to him I asked you for a quote prior to avoid such and you refused to quote me nor giving me your prices. I managed to raise funds. He left my locking system damaged and never even attached my handles. I ended up asking a neighbor of mine to clean up the lock Smith's mess. Immediately I reported the matter to lock smith and they said they would attend to the matter on the the following morning....till now no one has even tried to contact me

Locksmith Kempton Park is a despicable company! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! They charged R3000 to replace a gate lock then the lock did not work properly and 8 days later after being given the run around they have still not returned to fix it. Truly bad service and a complete rip off.

Lost my apartment key. Found MSD Locksmith on the internet. Their adverti*****t said R280 for a call out fee. The person confirmed telephonically that was the call out fee. The person arrives and gets to work. Doesn’t give a quotation and I still in a panic from the whole event, didn’t think to ask. Once the job is complete he bills me R5000. When I asked how come, his reply was he is an emergency service. This was still early in the day. I was very upset. He then reduced the bill to R3400. He wasn’t prepared to reduce it further. I had to phone a few friends to get this money together as I didn’t have this ridiculous amount lying around. This is not an ethical company. Wish I’d known at the time what to ask. I guess being a female he saw an opportunity. Later I googled reviews and found that this is their modus operandi. They scam people and are rude. An expensive lesson to learn but always ask for quotations. MSD LOCKSMITHS ARE NOTHING BUT FRAUDSTERS OPERATING IN GAUTENG.
