Waited 22 days for my order (3 books thats available in every single bookstore) to finally be sent to me, and then the parcel goes missing, after another 8 days. Now I have to wait again for them to decide how they are going to handle this...who knows? Service is a disgrace....rather make use of takealot. Eish I read the reviews on hellopeter before I ordered

We had work done by this company several years ago, and were happy with their work. When we decided to use them again to install a small storage loft in our home, we were expecting good service. This proved not to be the case. They did not properly convert the whole area they said they would, and when I raised this with them, they argued that that was the plan all along. I was told we'd get a 3m by 4m storage loft and expected an open floor area of more or less that size, not 3/4 of the area properly opened up and the last 1/4 with all the roofing timbers still in place (2 trusses unconverted). I also noticed that they had removed the supporting timbers from one other truss without properly reinforcing it as they had the others. We had to pay extra to get the 2 trusses done (which should have been part of what was quoted for the original job), and as they did not have enough materials, I had to supply materials on the day for them to reinforce the truss that was not properly reinforced with the original installation. They did not have a particularly customer-focused attitude when I expressed my dissatisfaction with the first installation and with the "corrective measures" they took - I got the impression that the predominant credo is "the customer is always wrong". In the service industry the saying is that you are only ever as good as your last job, which is why we certainly won't use this company again.

Over a year ago we contracted with a company named LOFTS to draw up and submit plans for a loft to the Cape Town City Council. A year on and we still do not have a completed loft as LOFTS failed to provide us with Council approved building plans. We strongly advise that you read Courtney Atkinson's review under Lofts and Ladders and heed her advise, as we are not the only people to have been stung by them.

This has to be one of the worst and most dishonest companies that have ever dealt with. Contracted by a neighbour to do a small loft renovation, have had to endure the worst year of my time in the area `I live. The promised plans and approvals were never submitted to council. and from day 3 things got worse and worse. They rate themselves on their website, give fraudulent documents and more. Are intimidating and after several months research on such have come to meet more than a handful of very unhappy customers... I am yet to find one that compliments this company, but themselves. I have all the documentation, photos and more to back back up this claim and can put you in touch with all their other unhappy customer. If you are considering this company. DO SOME RESEARH. Their brochures and website offer little and their product and finishes are horrific. They change their company name on a regular basis and tell customers they will do all the necessary planning etc. BUT they never submit the plans. hence all the problems and complaints by all I have come into contact with... They also use the name" Lofts and Ladders" and others as well as numerous persons to try and get the plans passed after the job is done... Intimidation, bad service, unqualified staff and the list grows.. BE AFRAID
