Shocking Customers Service

<p>I will never use Lutz Marine nor will I recommend them to anyone.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>I had a issue with my wheel on boat trailer, I contacted Lutz Marine to assist me with a quote so I could claim from my insurance. Lutz went out to my locker to get my wheel (which has already been taken off the trailer by me). After numerous phone calls I had not heard anything back. Eventually I received a quote. I was informed the wheel had been fixed. I then travel to the Vaal to check the work had been done. Much to my surprise it hadnt. I then contated Lutz Marine to find out why. Again after numerous phone calls I get told payment then job. Which firstly I feel is wrong. If you really need money then ask for a deposit.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>I recieve a half ass quote to submit to my insurance. The quote read as follows.&nbsp;</p> <p>labor R......</p> <p>call out fee R.....</p> <p>Parts (wheel Bearings)&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Submit &nbsp;it to insurance to be told they need a proper detailed quote . After numerous attempts. I finally receive a detail quote. Insurance assessor heads out to the Vaal so they can wrap up and get the claim paid. Again to my surprise the wheel isn't there.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>I then contact Lutz Marine to find out where the tire is so the assessor can do his job and we can then proceed.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Lutz informs me that I will not get the tire back until call out fee is paid (which I agree) and labor cost is pair (which I don't agree). So no work has been done and I ask him what's the labor charge for. And I told him I will pay labor once job is completed.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>I get get the follow message back. This is directly copied from his text message to me.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Text message</p> <p>For the work we did until now 1.removing of the old bearings from your axle and the hub.<br />2.Cleaning of the above to get the sizes.<br />3. Spending time on the phone to locate them.<br />4.Compiling quotes. <br />5. Redoing quote with bearing spec's. <br />6.Anwering questions on the phone and sms's. <br />I actually have now spend more than 2 hr of my time on this and request a 2 hr. labour charge.<br />This does add up to R 1700.00. <br />Please do a payment for this amount. <br />I will not answer any future sms's and sell of your wheel to recover my cost.<br />Regards Lutz&nbsp;</p> <p>As as you can read above, business etiquette is in short supply.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>I erge you never to use this company.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Regards</p> <p>Andrew&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
