When my 8-month-old kitten, Kiara, was diagnosed with FIP in February, I was terrified—she was fighting for her life. But thanks to the exceptional team at Lyttleton Animal Clinic, especially Dr. Aneldi Grundling and Dr. Henri Olckers, Kiara not only survived but thrived! From the moment of diagnosis, they sprang into action with a rigorous treatment plan: daily injections for weeks, followed by months of pills and bi-weekly check-ups. What moved me most was their patience and compassion. When I was too nervous to give Kiara her pills, they welcomed us daily without hesitation, guiding me until I felt confident. Their expertise and genuine care were evident in every interaction—not just with Kiara, but with me, a stressed-out pet parent. The entire staff at Lyttleton Animal Hospital became like family over those 3 intense months. Their dedication, from the front desk to the vets, made an unbearable situation manageable. Today, Kiara is healthy and happy, and I owe it all to them. If you want a clinic that treats your pet like their own, with skill, kindness, and relentless commitment, this is the place. Thank you, Dr. Aneldi, Dr. Henri, and the whole team—you gave us a miracle!

What a disgrace of a vet!!! We rushed to the vet with my puppy on 14 April 2022 - Lab-Bull (Labrador Pitbull, 9 months old). He vomited and had a runny tummy and we rushed him to Lyttelton Animal Hospitql. They did a test to see if he has the 'Kat Griep' - Parvo virus, which came back as a negatìve. My labrador pup was still weak at the time of discharge, but Lyttelton Dierekliniek said he was fine. The vet who assisted was so sure of the diagnosis she made. No drip or anything. We had to trust what the vet said and left with a couple of tablets. They immediately enquired about the bill of R1300. I confirmed that I would pay once we got home. We dropped my pup at home and I had to rush to another appointment. According to the vet - 'we need to give him time so the tablets can do the work.' We where so relieved that it wasn't Parvo Virus. When we came home 18h00 my pup was weaker than before, that after we gave him his medication and ensured he was nice and cosy before we left the house. He was our baby and Lyttelton didn't give him a CHANCE. That next morning at 03h00 we had to rush him to a 24 hour vet who gladly assisted with trying to stabilize him. Test results came back and he was indeed tested positive for the Parvo virus. This being said, we have 3 other young dogs at home and at risk. All Lyttelton Clinic did was following up on the bill, the whole day. They didn't even bother to ask how my pup was doing. These people are money hungry and have no empathy for their patients or clients. My Pup was put to rest the morning of the 15th. Our baby wasn't even given a chance and according to Bakenkop Clinic he would most probably have made it if this virus was detected earlier that morning (when Lyttelton confirmed that it was a negative result). He would have had a chance.

My dog is a puppy (2 years old) and very lively. I took her to the vet in Lyttleton. When the worker walked behind me I didn't see him and suddenly she started barking at him. You won't believe the VET says to me he refuses to serve her (Ek weier om haar te sien). Says to me control your dog. I turned around and left. I won't allow him to touch my dog! I said to him he is a disgusting human being. What vet doesn't understand dogs? She has never bitten anyone and only did what is in her nature, to fiercely defend me! He is a ancient old man who should rather sit at home than deal with animals. I then took her to Pierre Van Rynveldt vet who went out of their way to accommodate my lively dog. I will never ever use that horrble old man again and wherever I go in Centurion I will tell people about him!
