I had the pleasure of enjoying lunch at Machics Restaurant in Pretoria, and I was thoroughly impressed! From start to finish, everything about this restaurant speaks of quality, care, and excellence. The food and drinks were outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The menu offers a wide variety at very reasonable prices, making it great value for money. The restaurant itself is spotless, modern, and comfortable, with shiny floors, clean tables, and cozy seating that makes you want to stay longer. Even the toilets were exceptionally clean, which says a lot about the attention to detail. There's ample parking, making it convenient and safe to visit. Truly, many other restaurants and businesses could learn a thing or two from how Machics is run. Well done to the team at Machics – keep up the excellent work! I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in Pretoria.

Can to Machics for dinner, today 21 April 2024 order pork ribs with my boyfriend, I was really not impressed with their ribs, they were burn and dry. Very disappointing as I expected more from them. It's not my first time eating there and the last time I was there I really enjoyed the ribs hence I came back. My dinner was ruined. I even took a picture of my plate, it's a pity can't send the picture as proof.

I would like to compliment Dirk and his staff, from the cleaners to the Chef. We have always had brilliant service and great food since we started going there almost 15 years ago. Keep it up.

Restaurant used to be a great place for a pub lunch - We've been going there when they were still called O'Hagans, we're regulars - But it seems as the months and weeks go by, service is getting poorer, quality of food is going also. Was there again on Sunday, one person in our party had a steak and I had their chicken livers. The steak had a distinct, sour smell - and looked unappetizing, my livers were extremely salty and was extremely hot (spice) - usually when one orders it, it was mild - this time is was ****** inedible - yet the manager walking around in a laid back and lazy demeanour said that is how they served it - yet having had it before I know this is not the case. With only two in a party of four being happy with their meals, I consider 50% a hard fail, especially in times such as these with COVID and a struggling restaurant industry. While the steak was removed off the bill, someone's appetite was spoilt, and it also means that the steak, visibility looking and smelling foul was still placed on a plate for a customer - this was a conscious decision - and unfortunately, they have now lost a couple long standing, loyal customers.

I always go to Machics and the service gets worse everytime. When we walk in all the staff just simply look away and rush to serve all the white folks. It is filthy service and purely racist. Why do some of us have to beg for service???! Ridiculous and pathetic!!!

Picture the scene - St Paddy's Day and you want to go to an Irish restaurant for a meal and a pint. Obviously everywhere is overcrowded. With no reservation, we arrived at Machics in the Willows. Although they didn't have space for a flea, they found a spot for us at the bar and even served us a meal there.

Besides the absolutely delicious meal and the friendliest of staff, what was most impressive was that we thought we were going to wait hours for our meal, considering that the place was packed to the rafters. Truth be told, we waited no longer than what we would have waited anywhere else with their normal amount of clientele. And barmen who know how to build a Guinness!!!!!

Good food, good draft, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, and an ambience that can't be beaten, you can bet your bottom pound stirling we'll be going back there - OFTEN!

Thanks, guys, we had an AWESOME time.
