Appalled with the customer service and experience with this company, they refused to accept a fitting fault which I had from the day I fitted the low profiles tires 185/35/17 Nankang's. I was told that there was a fault with the wheel which had impact damage so I proceeded to change the rim with my spare which i didn't have on the day and proceeded to change it at a fitment center closer to home. A few days later the tire ran down again pointing out that it isn't a rim fault and is most likely the tire. I went back to the store and met the with the rep for Nankang who assessed and inspected the tire only to find that the bead on this tire was cut! And also that it is because of the inner paint of the rim causing the the leak. Now bare in my my frustration having to go back and forth with this problem. I asked for my tire to be replaced with a new one to which i was told isn't possible because I had taken this tire and had it changed an a different fitment center yet I've been having this problem from day 1 of fitting these tires on. The owner Riaz and manager refused to take ownership of the fault, pinning the blame on the other fitment center. To avoid more frustration I offered to just buy a new tire as they were certainly not going to replace it for me, the owner Riaz offered me the new tire at half price which i accepted however the manager insisted on removing the inner paint and fitting the same damaged tire on the rim. Nevertheless i went ahead and did that however without having peace of mind. I went back to the store today 27/11/2020 to fetch my "damaged" rim as i was told that they could not repair it and just purchase the tire i was offered at half price only to be told that I couldn't do that without giving the "damaged" back which i already paid for obviously. I refused to do that as I paid for it and it belongs to me. They refused to give me the new tire at half price without giving the other one back !!! I fitted these tires on the 15 Nov 2020 and since that day it's been endless headaches !!!

On the 4 february 2019 i visited a tyre and mag company called MAGZ 4 U based in Durban briadene ( chris hani road ) I wanted to purchase a set off tyres for my ford ranger bakkie. I spoke to the owner Riaz and he told me he will charge me R2000 per tyre and R8000 for the set . the size of the tyre was a 275/55/20 . before proceeding with the sale i asked how much would he offer me for the existing mags and tyres on my vehicle . he made an offer of R10000 which i agreed upon. So i buy a set of tyres for R8000 and he buys my set of rims and tyres for R10000. meaning he would refund me R2000 once the deal was concluded . both parties were happy they fitted the tyres of my vehicle but the tyres were not compatible due to them running against the fender linings . We then agreed to put a small profile tyre which was a 265/50/20. I was then told that i have to pay for a set of S***ots which was R350 which i also agreed to pay for . so now Riaz would owe me a refund of R1650 . Once the job was finished he was not present to give me the refund of R1650 so i left and would return to collect the money. After leavin the tyre indicator light came on . apparently they forgot to put back the tyre sensors . So today 7 February 2019 i went back to get the sensors installed . once that was done it was time for the refund . I spoke to riaz and and tell him that i now put a smaller tyre so the tyre should be cheaper than the original price of R2000 that he quoted me . He looks and says no no the smaller tyre is more expensive and wants to refund me R1350 . I’m a medical doctor and surely not an idiot . I looked at him and told him you going against your word of what we agreed upon firstly and not honoring the agreement. I was upset so i told him listen refund me whatever and let me leave . The reason for this complaint is not about money but the principle of this business establishment . He blatantly defrauding me regarding this entire deal . They inconvenienced me leaving my surgery and coming back to replace the sensors they forgot to put back. I personally would never refer any customer to MAGZ 4 U in the future . please be aware when making deals with them and make sure that it’s documented and signed . Please guys stick to reputable companies and surely you will receive the service and business ethics your deserve.
