abused and frustrated customer !
Malawi cane , Stay away from the co. Malawi Cane ! I got half an order , no response at all to my query and am sitting with a piece of ugly cane furniture and half an order ! The order only came when I pushed for it taking two months to finally arrive ! Half an order and no response , how frustrating this silent treatment is you have no idea ! A response only came when I copied them on an email to my lawyer . How legitimate as a co.they are , I have no idea, I subsequently found out that a lot of companies climb on the bandwagon on the Malawi cane industry ! Avoid Malawicane.com and a lady called Phiwe ! Not response as a vision theirs in my favour . They could be not a legitimate co. that being the reason for this treatment !

No Order Received - Excuse Factory
Less than one star. Ordered planter baskets a month ago. One excuse after the next as to why they have not arrived. I am now going to report the issue to my bank as I paid in advance. I would not recommend throwing your money away here. Look elsewhere.

No Order Received - Excuse Factory
Less than one star. Ordered planter baskets a month ago. One excuse after the next as to why they have not arrived. I am now going to report the issue to my bank as I paid in advance. I would not recommend throwing your money away here. Look elsewhere.

Terrible communication, items were delivered months later than confirmed and product is extremely poor quality and has broken on several items. Very uncomfortable compared to our traditional and original Malawian cane furniture. The inflated price versus competitors on this too given the inferior quality is very disappointing. Supposed varnished chairs have also become mouldy (our original furniture has not so it’s not due to the conditions). Emails highlighting these concerns have not been responded to in months. Strongly suggest you do not order from here.

Terrible communication, items were delivered months later than confirmed and product is extremely poor quality and has broken on several items. Very uncomfortable compared to our traditional and original Malawian cane furniture. The inflated price versus competitors on this too given the inferior quality is very disappointing. I have had to do all the follow-up myself. By Christmas, nothing had arrived. I was then informed there was no stock and asked whether I would like an alternative. I declined and requested a refund. On 6 January I was advised that a refund would be processed — and I am still waiting. Based on other reviews, it appears I am not the only customer in this situation. This company does not deserve customers’ business.

Beware. Copy-cat seller.
Beware!! This is not the original Malawi Cane company (apparently there are a few cop-cat sites). Products are not genuine wicker and of very poor quality for the price. You'll be sent something similar, but they are copy-cat sellers with similar branding and sub-par products. Realised too late. Bought a chair that is covered in paint marks, rusted metal welding still full of ****, loose weave and not real wicker at all. No response after sales.

Honestly, I did not expect this!
Hat offs to them, what a great SA company! There has been alot of bad news lately about local businesses. These guys have 1. Great customer service, 2. Quality products 3. What more can i say. Delivery was prompt 6 working days, no problems at all. There are alot of ****mers our there but these guys are definitely NOT one of them! Their businesses is doing really well, that may be why other sellers are bad mouthing them online... 5 stars!

Delivery was prompt 6 working days, no problems at all. There are alot of ****mers our there but these guys are definitely NOT one of them!
