I went to marcels ice cream mojo market seapoint today Thursday 09.10.2025 12:28 Wow the only lady that had to serve us didn’t even look up greet nothing ! She just stood on her phone reading and replying to texts . When i waited for her to say something she didn’t be apologise and help she just kept on replying to whatever was so important. I literally told my son let’s go she look like she doesn’t want to help she said absolutely nothing and went back on to chatting . This is so unprofessional me working with customers I would never just ignore a customer like thjs ! I even took a photo of how she was leaning on her phone

My boyfriend and I visited gateway on Sunday excited to try this for the first time however the lady confirmed there were no s****s. I was disappointed, so we said we would give it a try some other time, when walking by we saw a white couple who had just bought the frozen yogurt and they had s****s so we went back thinking they had s****s again but was told there was no s****s. Really baffled about that experience. Also the lady working there didn't look to happy to serve the yogurt not sure if she was having a bad day! Don't think I'll try them now.

My boyfriend and I visited gateway on Sunday excited to try this for the first time however the lady confirmed there were no s****s. I was disappointed, so we said we would give it a try some other time, when walking by we saw a white couple who had just bought the frozen yogurt and they had s****s so we went back thinking they had s****s again but was told there was no s****s. Really baffled about that experience. Also the lady working there didn't look to happy to serve the yogurt not sure if she was having a bad day! Don't think I'll try them now.

Good day Unfortunately I had a terrible experience at Marcels Blue Route Saturday 1 February 2025 just after 1pm. My daughter (8 years old) ordered a small cone with toppings. I watched the girl throw the toppings (mini Astros) into the cone then put the frozen yogurt on top, normally when we order this they first put some frozen yogurt in then the topping then complete with more frozen yogurt. I gave it to my daughter and she took a lick and the whole thing fell off and she caught it in her hands. The young lady that served us just gave me a look, as a I don't give a **** look. So I asked her for a small tub, because the whole thing was falling off, she nicely tells me that's an extra R6, which I paid for, we then turned the cone upside down into the bowl and all the sprinkles fell out onto the counter and the floor, again this girl just looks at me with a look, like this is my problem, so my daughter now eating the empty cone and confused because there is nothing inside. I then told the girl and manager that this is ridiculous and they could have given the bowl because the yogurt wasnt put in correctly. I was then told we doing stock take and you must pay, which I already did. It was disgusting the looks I got from both ladies, no apologies for what happened, no empathy to the whole thing falling apart. I mean we were still standing at the damn counter. We go to blue route often and we always and I mean always buy Marcels for the kids and waffles for us. That's their treat, but never again. The service was poor. I can understand why some people in the que say no thanks, go ahead, we waiting for someone else to serve us, some of the staff is really nice, but those two yesterday were terrible. Please train your staff, if they see they made a mistake and the frozen yogurt falls out of a cone in front of their eyes, they need to apologize and fix the problem. I never leave spending less than R92 minimum on a visit, because my kids always take a small with topping, sometimes two toppings which is even more. I'm very disappointed as to what happened yesterday. My daughter says they should get 0 stars for their service and attitude.

Marcel's frozen yoghurt and ice cream. I passed by the newly opened Ballito junction branch to see what's available. I hand not intended to buy anything but the young ladies were so friendly and kind I was compelled to get something. Loved the mango coconut yoghurt. Well done!

I was at canal walk Marcels gourmet on Thursday 7th of November and was going to buy myself a medium cone when I approached a woman behind the counter to ask about her flavor options, but oh was she miserable didn't want to greet me or smile, nothing she looked at me as though I was bothering her and made dam sure I felt unwelcome so I just didn't buy anything her attitude put me off is this the service Marcels frozen yogurt gives terrible because of that woman they lost a customer

On Sunday 3 November my family and I decided to buy ice cream at Marcel’s frozen yoghurt and ice cream store at the v and a waterfront in Cape Town. I decided to buy myself a regular hot chocolate. The lady assisting me went to the back area of the shop to collect the milk she would use to prepare the beverage. Whilst busy frothing the milk, I overhear her colleague asking her whether the milk is fresh. They continue having a conversation but at this point I cannot hear them. She comes to me probably after about 10 seconds of conversing with the colleague to let me that that “ibisi lethu limoshakele” meaning “Our milk is spoilt/ old/ expired”. The friend then continues say “alibalangwa best before August?” meaning “is it not written best before August?” This is completely and utterly disgusting that such a prominent store in an upmarket shopping centre would not have fresh products. Had it not been for the friend, that lady would’ve sold me the hot chocolate with made with expired milk 🤮 The service was poor, staff lacked a sense of urgency, dragging their feet and just walking lazily while the store was packed. Not happy at all with the service. At this point, the store is not at all deserving of the one star. Disappointing and disgusting. You’re going to make people sick.

PSA !!! PLEASE STICK to icecream ONLY. I had the WORST coffee experience yesterday at your Grandwest Marcels branch, including unsatisfactory client experience. No "hello" or "hi". Not a smile in sight. I would've left this statement, but it's 1 day later and my tongue is still ruined. First of all, Wrong order (in stead of a cappucino I got a horrible version of an Americano), BOILING HOT coffee. It was undrinkable. Please notify your staff that "coffee temperature" is a thing. R66 terribly spent!!!! Please TRAIN YOUR STAFF or get better employees. #unhappycustomer
