Poor service and food
<p>Poor service.<br />The seafood platter is either not too fresh or badly prepared. Soggy and way too much spices and salty.<br />The wine only arrived after the meal was half eaten, although they were ordered at the same time. <br />I had to remind them that my wine hasn't arrived after 30 mins of ordering it, only to get double charged in my final bill. Obviously they forgot to bring my first order, and when I reminded them, they just placed another order without checking the order history.<br />4 different waiters brought things to my table, but none ever come to the table to ask if everything is ok. I'm not sure who is actually serving the table, <br />The finished plates and prawn shells sat on the table attracting flies for 15 mins, before anybody bothered to take it away. <br />Went to the restaurant around about 3:30pm, so they are not busy at all, yet the waiters are not attentive at all, and nowhere insight when you needed them.<br />Never going back again. The price is definitely not worth the service or the food quality.<br />The only good thing was the ocean view and close to the hotel.</p>

Great Restaurant / Fantastic Service
We had the pleasure of dining at Maritimo's Restaurant in Umhlanga recently. <br> The food was fantastic and the staff were friendly and efficient. <br> The Owners, Hans & Marlene made us feel right at home with their hospitality.<br> Thank you guys.<br>

Great Restaurant / Fantastic Service
We had the pleasure of dining at Maritimo's Restaurant in Umhlanga recently. <br> The food was fantastic and the staff were friendly and efficient. <br> The Owners, Hans & Marlene made us feel right at home with their hospitality.<br> Thank you guys.<br>

Maritimo's delights
I recently had the pleasure of having supper at Maritimo's in Umhlanga. The staff were attentive to all our requirements and the service was really efficient. I will say, that it is the food that puts this beach front restaurant ahead of the rest. The mouth watering variety on offer requires some difficult decision making, however a rich creamy crab soup starter was finally settled on followed by a exquisite rolled pork belly which melted in the mouth. I will certainly be back to try more of the dishes on offer with such warm hosts. Thank you to Hans and his great team!
