I am writing to tell my story about the Establishment, Marlot Guest House in Polokwane. I checked in on the 24 May 2025 evening and paid using my capitac card. Upon check-out, the staff member on duty informed me that the payment had not yet reflected. I explained that, as it was a weekend, the transaction might only clear by Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Since the original payment was made via card and not an EFT, I was unable to immediately provide proof of payment immediately. To resolve the situation and avoid any misunderstanding, I agreed to make a second payment via EFT from my Nedbank account, especially given that their banking details are also with Nedbank. The staff member assured me that once both payments were verified, one of the amounts would be refunded. I have been in contact with them, sending them proof of payment that went off my Capitac account and I am told my proof payment from Capitac is *****ulent which I will still take further with authorities. They promised to send me their bank statement to show that the money is not with them but they are failing to do that. I find their staff ***********, they do not take their clients seriously.

The guesthouse is clean an beautiful. BUT totally disappointing and dissatisfied about the service. The electricity tripped at midnight and there is no maintenance man. The staff person that was there couldn't help. It is cold and there is no hot water. Apparently the owner of this place comes in at 6am and connect the electricity wires.
