Mr. Morne de Wet trading as MC de Wet Contractors did a job at a private house in Gordons Bay first to replace an existing asbestos roof with new roof tiles and secondly to re build a wooden deck and erect a new stainless steel balustrade on the wooden deck. The full job was suppose to be finished at the end of November 2014.Early in December 2014 without the job being finished Morne de Wet requested from the owners to assist him with a loan on a private vehicle, which was refused. The owners however requested of Morne to finish the job, which he did not do. A second contractor was brought onto site that pointed out 22 broken tiles on the new roof, valleys that were not correctly done with no water proofing. Further cost of R15k was occurred to fix the roof. The deck was checked and found to be totally skew and out of line, the balustrade was ordered from another contractor and put up total cost R48k. the deck had to be done again at a cost of R18k sinking all the screws again and re aligning all. Mr de Wet should not be allowed to continue as a contractor , taking money and doing a un professional job <br>
