I have been unemployed for 9 years. In July 2024 I received an email from Medaco telling me that I owe SARS R2500. I emailed back informing them that that was seriously just totally impossible. No response. Then end of November I received another email from them (Medaco) telling me that I now owed SARS R4500!!..***!! I accessed my SARS details on EFILING (Statement of Account), and the total outstanding balance is NIL, which is correct. I have seen posts on Facebook of people complaining of similar cases such as mine, been harassed when there's no amount outstanding to SARS. SARS need to get involved asap and sort out this nonsense!! I'm wondering if this company are ****sters!!??

This company has no working contact number, no response to emails and send out smses without contacting you, whilest giving a phone number that does not exist to collect money on an account that has been paid on time every month and never late. No means to resolve the matter to clear you name negatively impacting your credit record due to incompetence

Incompetence at highest level. No interpersonal skills. Cannot resolve issues. Sends threatening emails when accounts are settled in full. Don't think they know what they are meant to do.

Following up on a UIF Case for someone that hasn't been working for me for more than 12 years. Never has UIF or Medaco picked up a phone to call and find out what the issue is. the employee left as she didn't want to pay the 1% UIF funds. What was I supposed to do. Now I am indebted to them for over R59346.59 as they never followed up in more than 10 years. Is this how institutions catch out people to pay more than they should? This is not right. I have sent email after email, right after receiving the confirmation of them demanding funds. Is this what life has become? A demand left, right & center to scare people in paying for something? without following up. and still no confirmation can be given as to where they called to follow up with me. This is wrong.

Medaco debt collectors is trying to collect money from me for a eskom account THEY say is not paid.I moved out there in July 2019. Is this one of those company's that buys the outstanding debt from companys and then tries to collect the money they think is outstanding

In Aug 2022 I received an sms telling me I owe the UIF department money. Since then I have been trying to get this company & the UIF department to understand that their records are incorrect. I've even sent them documentation to prove this as well as the UIF (more than once), but still they can't grasp something so basic even if it is handed to them in black and white. How can something so easy be so difficult to understand if it's right in front of you in documents sent by the client to both entities? They seriously don't have a clue what they're doing.
