28 May 2016 I went to Medicine World and asked for vitamin C (ascorbic acid – a count of 30). The pharmacist on duty grabbed two bottles of capsules in front of him and told me they now come in 10’s I can take two. When I arrived home I saw I was given painamol (generic panado instead of the ascorbic acid.

I then addressed this with the nursing sister at the pharmacy; who then gave me the correct vitamins. At the cashier point to swap out the tablets (the cashier had to call the manager). The manager advised that he cannot swap out medication it is against the rules. His attitude was very ugly and not very customer friendly.

I did state that this was not the first time that I was given the incorrect medication/product – he replied: maybe the pharmacist was busy, maybe he didn’t hear you correctly. This is all unacceptable excuses that should not happen at a pharmacy. Someone’s life can be at stake.

I will not support this pharmacy ever again!
