I am extremely disappointed and honestly shocked by what happened today. A MediWallet representative pulled my bank statements from my online application and shared my personal bank statement in a WhatsApp chat without my consent. This is not a small mistake; this is a direct violation of my privacy and a breach of POPIA. My bank statement contains sensitive financial information. I never gave permission for it to be transmitted over WhatsApp, let alone dropped casually into a chat. This kind of behaviour is irresponsible and dangerous. I have screenshots of the entire conversation and I have already lodged a formal complaint with MediWallet. I am now escalating this matter to their compliance department and the Information Regulator as well. I expect: • An immediate investigation • A written apology • Confirmation that my data has been deleted • Assurance that this will not happen to any other customer This level of carelessness is unacceptable, and customers deserve far better protection of their private information.

My partner has a mediwallet account. We thought it would be a lifesaver in the event we need our vet bills covered. My partner issued me a voucher to use which I then activated as per the instructions. I received notification that my voucher was successfully activated and I will be able to use it. I went to my scheduled vet appointment which is one of the mediwallet listed partners. I tried to use the voucher but they could not find the voucher. After numerous attempts I ended up paying cash. We immediately emailed mediwallet asking why I was not able to use my voucher to which they responded that it needs to be used at a listed partner. We responded that we did. We asked if there was a waiting period but no response. We asked if we could reverse the voucher because I can't use it. No response. We got a bill to pay our account (the R1000 voucher) but more than a week later still no assistance. We have to schedule out spay appointment and now we are unsure if mediwallet will cover those costs.

Good option when you want to pay off your Specsaver glasses. However no response should you need a settlement amount. You will beg all your life!

This is the best service to have if you can't afford a medical aid! They are friendly and very fast at helping with your enquiries and any questions that you may have. Easy to use on the website and the WhatsApp service is just as great and easy to use. Big thank you to MediWallet for helping me! You guys are the best!!!

I received a call from Mediwallet today and was so impressed with my experience. Shaydie advised me that I have funds allocated to use which I wasn't aware off. Thank you for taking the time to inform your customers and providing a pleasant experience.
