I'm a medical specialist who needed someone to decorate my new office in a brand new, high profile hospital. I first met Elaine Gouws from MEG Interiors early January 2015 for a quote and stipulation that the office must be ready for the grand-opening of the hospital on 02 March. On acceptance of the quote of R180 000.00, I payed the entire amount upfront in good faith. She promised that my new offices would be executively furnished with upmarket products. On that date, all that was delivered was a desk and examination table. By the end of the following week, still NO wall art, WRONG visitor chairs, WRONG couches, NO floor mats, floating shelves, pot plants, floor lamp, coat stand, desk accessories, window blinds etc. She had many excuses! During the next 2 weeks, the most hideous, cheaply-made and poor quality products I have ever seen, were delivered in drips and drabs, probably just as damage control. After many emergency meetings around the end March, filled with promises and blatant lies, I asked her to kindly leave and pay me the money for all the outstanding products, around R20 000. My offices are still not open for business. Still no response from her. Zero professionalism
