Extremely Rude and Unprofessional Customer Service
I am writing on behalf of my husband, who is disabled, blind, and an amputee. He is currently unable to work. This company has been very rude and unprofessional in the way they speak to clients and handle debt collection. I have explained multiple times, providing an affidavit confirming my husband’s disability. While we understand that the company has its own policies and legal procedures, it is completely unnecessary to be insensitive and rude. This is not the first time this has happened. A lady from their office told my husband that it is “not her problem” that he cannot pay due to disability and insisted he should make the payment. Previous emails were also unprofessional, and when I brought this to their attention, the only response was “Merry Christmas and New Year.” It is very difficult to communicate with a company that does not actually communicate properly, and when they do, the tone is unprofessional and disrespectful. I also see multiple complaints on HelloPeter regarding similar behavior. Why is this company still allowed to treat clients in this way?

2025-11-18. Circa 2024-08-06, bad planning by HS Tygerberg caused our son to miss a private after-hours prepaid music lesson several km away so we contacted Admin staff (phone & email) explaining WHY we would justifiably deduct pro-rata R180 from the next month's school fees. HS Tygerberg knew we had no history of failing to pay approx. R267,870 due for 2 students. We are NOT typical defaulters. Lo and behold their attorneys notified us via email and SMS threatening court action plus BLACKLISTING with ITC. NB: The BLACKLISTING threat was NOT mentioned as conditional upon winning their court case - presumably to consume tax-payer Magistrate Court resources when the Small Claims Court would cost far less. Consider the ethical principles pertaining to the principal R180.

Can one report these people to the law society? They are rude, threatening all the time even though you pay on time with proof of payments sent every single month. I've asked a few times for a statement of account yet I get ignored. I'm so sick of them. It's because they ****** ***** that they won't send an account. I know I owe the school but they make it 100x worse. People are really struggling and the schools know this yet hand one over with even more fees added. Come on man, give a human a chance to get back on their feet! As for Meynhardt, they should be removed from practicing. They have no remorse or compassion for the next human being.

Rude, unprofessional and vultures

Really now we needed to assist with the funeral.... Can someone please let me know what ombudsman I need to approach for their ********* practice please they making me feel depressed and I want to know what the original debt was as the school refuse to provide the necessary details but it's not R6000 from maybe R930....

Sick to my stomach working with this company
I am currently under Debt Review and have been for approximately 18 months now. My account with Meynardt Attorneys is part of my debt review agreement and confirmed by the courts. I now receive an SMS with the same account number, that payment is to be made by the end of business today; court documents are ready. Really??? What documents??? When I called the office on the number provided in the SMS, Tersia is unavailable. I left a message with the receptionist. I am sure no one will call back. 2 years ago before I was under debt review, I was also unable to speak to Tersia. She is never available but she is always ready to send out threats and demands. I am so absolutely sick of this company and the way they treat me. Also, side note, below it asks for the company email so that they can inform the company of this review but the only email I have is of the person I am complaining about. This company does not freely hand out email addresses and there is no way of speaking to someone higher up. Ridiculous.

Court action will include: DEFAULT JUDGMENT AND WARRANT OF EXECUTION TO REMOVE YOUR FURNITURE should you continue with non payment. MEYNHARDT ATTORNEYS Love the way the use capitals thinking that will scare someone, super professional to say the least. My grandkids even know that writing in capitals is unprofessional.

Rude & obnoxious
Simon from Meynhardt Inc in Bellville is absolutely the most despicable human being. He is so rude and obnoxious. He has absolutely no humanity. I have read many of the reviews here on Hello Peter and it seems a I am not not the only victim of this mans harassments

I struggle to make payments and are open about it in communications. Very rude man sent me whatsapps from the company. In a phone call conversation he talks over me and bullies me into keeping quite and listening to him I am in the wrong for not making payments. But making arrangements. Does that mean I have lost the right to be treated in a human manner. I actually feel so sad to be treated like this. Big, proffesional company treating people in this way. Very bad
