I drive an old Mitsubishi Colt 2.8TDi, I took it to Mitspro for an issue that I was having with the vehicle as well as to have it serviced and have a few additional things done. There prices seem very fair and reasonable and the service that I experienced was top notch. All the issues that I asked them to look at and repair were done. I will definitely take my vehicle back to them again.

My Ford Kuga's engine light went on and was struggling to start. I took my car to Mitspro immediately as it was time for a service anyway. I did indicate on the in-take form that the engine light was on, and that the car had an issue with overheating (which they could not find the issue for the past 3 years, but ALWAYS blamed any issues on the fact that it is a Ford). These men have serious personal dramas with Ford cars for absolutely no reason. They proceeded to charge me over R9000 after finally finding a small leak in the radiator. They fixed it (despite missing this for the past 3 years) and completely ignored the engine light which was the main reason my car was there for. When asking about it, they brushed it off and said "it's probably the coil, but you can drive the car". Luckily I decided to not listen to them and took my car back within less than a week. Turns out, my car's gasket had blowen. Yes, they gave back a car whose gasket had blown, they didn't notice it, and advised me to ignore it continue to drive. Long story short, it took 2 months in total for them to fix the car, they didn't order the right parts, which took longer (of course always blaming Ford). They did not care how long this might take and what a rental car for 2 months will cost me. The worst part is how they treated me. I would phone every now and again to ask for an update. They would be incredibly rude, ***ist, disrespectful and completely dismissive. I have never had anyone speak to me like this in my life, especially not someone who I had just paid a total of over R50 800. There are so many car service centers out there. Nobody needs to be treated like this and wait this long for their car to be repaired. I will not be returning.

My recent car service experience from Mitspro (99 Union Ave, Lyttelton Manor, Centurion, 0157 ********** ) needs to be made public. I took my bakkie there for a minor service 140kkm, with the mechanic (Freek Jnr) calling me to say my front brake pads needs replacing. Replaced. Immediately after leaving the workshop on my way home the brakes started to screech and make a lot of noise. I turned around and took it back to Mitspro to inspect. On arrival a very ****y and arrogant Freek Jnr got in to the car and we drove around the block for him to witness the noise from the front brakes. His recommendation was to keep driving it as the noise will disappear once they bed in. After1 Week I called Freek Jnr again saying it is still making a lot of noise when braking , he said to continue driving and that he is waiting for the brake pads representative to advise. He said he would call me back to advise. No Call Back. After the second week of driving and brakes still making a lot of noise I called them again and said this is unacceptable. Freek Snr this time answered my call and advised to bring the Triton back so that they can replace the pads. On arrival to the workshop (if you can call it that) very backyard mechanic set up, they told me that I need to skim my discs for my cost. I told them that is unacceptable as the discs are fine no shuddering nothing and had them inspected previously. I then told them to refund my money for the defective brake pads and give me back my old ones. They then very agrily said they threw my old brake pads away. Keep in mind that I disputed the quality of the brake pads they installed on the same day. Now with them throwing my old brake pads away i told them that is not my problem and that they need to refund me. They then said they will take their brake pads back and take old brake pads from someone else's car there for servicing and put it in my bakkie. UNACCEPTABLE by any standards. Long story short it ended with Freek Senior telling me to take my F-ing keys and go and me still sitting with their defective brake pads. I couldn't believe it. Be warned these guys know nothing about customer service, are willing to change parts between client's cars too!!! Also be very careful to service you car with Freek Jnr. The guy does not care whatsoever. Hope this helps someone to avoid having a terrible experience. Service your car elsewhere or you will regret it servicing with Mitspro.

Took my Mitsubishi Triton to them with a crank angle sensor problem. They could not solve the problem in the 4 weeks that the car was with them. Also, no communication from them in time drove me crazy. Eventually we moved it after they charged R2500- for labour. On the way from thee workshop, a large bolt falls from the engine. Next day, a large pool of oil has collected underneath the car. The car has never leaked oil. I am awaiting an opinion on what is causing the oil leak and will not leave it there should the problem points to them.

I cannot recommend this place.

Booked in my bakkie with them 3months ago to replace head gasket, a job they told me would take a week, one month later after me having to run after them weekly and not 1 phonecall. I then got a sms to say my bakkie was ready, the injectors now also replaced. Bill R15000. 2 days later I phone them to say my bakkie is loosing water, adding 2l daily Get it back and it is still loosing water, back it goes,They then tell me they would like to keep as it seems the head has gone again. A week goes by,no phonecall. They then let me know a week later after I have to phone them that they will now strip the engine. Freek SNR the owner, then lets me know after I phone him after another 2 days that 2 of the pistons have seized due to a problem with the injectors or the motor overheating.i then tell him that they replaced the injectors, that the overheating was after 2 days and is not my fault. He then goes on holiday for 2 weeks.
He then goes on holiday, leaving my vehicle until he gets back 2 weeks later. Long story short, I phone them everyweek for 2 months, and I finally get my bakkie back with a R13 000 bill.BAD service, No communication.BAD Mechanic. Day light robbery
