I took my chair in to have the sling material replaced. I was called to be told that they would not repair the chair as it was not originally from Mobelli. When I collected the chair I took it straight home. Upon placing it down next to my other chairs I noticed that the material (not even the broken part) had clearly been sprayed or had gotten in the way of something else being sprayed or powder coated and was now a strange shade of purple (my other chairs are white).<br> <br> When I contacted Mobelli to tell them I was met with the rudest, most obscene attitude I have ever encountered from a supplier. I was told that I was lying and that the chair that I showed them (I took pictures of the damage) was not the same chair that I brought in!<br> <br> All I want is for the damage to be repaired. I was told that I need to come in to watch video footage of me leaving the store (for what purpose as I'm not lying).<br> <br> I actually cannot believe that a company would treat a customer in this way and feel utterly helpless as to know what to do. When I told them as such, they told me that I was not their customer as I had not bought anything. Absolutely incredulous at this disgusting attitude.
The claim that the complainers' chair was damaged by Mobelli is completely untrue.
The person thought they bought their chairs from us but in fact purchased it from another company. She brought it in to be repaired at our showroom in Paarden Eiland. As we are unable to repair competitors’ products the chair was placed aside until the person came back to fetch it the next day.
After taking the chair home she sent us an image showing two chairs next to each other, one being badly discolored. It is impossible not to notice the colour differences on the chairs. The images she sent us shows two completely different colour chairs.
The person states that the chair had “clearly been sprayed or had gotten in the way of being sprayed or powder coated and was now a strange shade of purple….” When one looks at the chair, the only thing that is purple is the sling on the chair, not the frame that the sling is connected to. If we sprayed anything (which, again, we don’t), surely other parts of the chair would be purple too? This illustrates that no spraying has been applied to the chair. In fact, we have done nothing to the chair but set it aside and call the customer once we realized that this chair is not a Mobelli chair.
We investigated further and checked our surveillance video and found out that the chair she brought in, was the chair she took back. On our video we clearly see that the chair was in its original colour.
It is important to note that no comment was made by her regarding any problem when she collected the chair.
At Mobelli we take pride in our excellent customer service. It is what sets us apart from our competitors. We always find a solution for our customers and those of our competitors. Customer complaints are dealt with seriously in the highest levels of the company. The customer made accusation and we simply spoke back truthfully and to the point, rebutting her accusation.
Once again, we do not accuse anyone of lying. It is possible that the person is mistaken with their chairs but we categorically deny any wrongdoing.
