Mobifix Tygervalley Unexceptable customer service. Booked my moblie phone in on Monday and paid R299 to do a full report on my phone. Neatless to say paid and was told to collect following day. Was told to wait couple of days for my report but have not received anyting doubt that i will ever will. Paid a fee for ptofessional techinician to a full report but instead got a word of mouth report from petson sitting at front desk. If i would have wanted an unptofessional report there are many corner shop vendors which would have gradly assisted.

I took my phone (iPhone 11) in for a battery change on the 15th of December 2025. Everything was fine until I had to update the software the next day. The software did not recognize the new battery so the phone kept on crashing and I had to take it back to the store. I spent the whole day at the store on the 18th and the problem was still not sorted out. The phone issue is one thing, but the fact that the manager (whom I have not seen) is not responding to my emails or offering any solution is extremely annoying. He is never at the store, so I'm at the mercy of his receptionists and technician, who haven't assisted at all.

I previously had an issue with the Tygervalley Branch, but it has since been resolved. I'm updating my review to reflect that the business took my concerns seriously, and I truly appreciate when a company listens and responds to customer feedback.

TYGERVALLEY BRANCH *******! Didn't try to find the fault and still charged me for screen replacement that didn't need replacing! I took my phone to Mobifix because it wouldn’t switch on. Without conducting any diagnostics, they immediately replaced the screen and charged me R900. Unfortunately, the phone still didn’t work properly afterward, so they took it back in for further inspection. They were unable to fix the fault, and I ended up having to purchase a new phone from them. I was told the R900 would be credited toward the new purchase. Since I didn’t have a working phone, I arranged for a family member to assist me remotely, and they transferred R5000 to Mobifix on my behalf. I never received a receipt at the time, so I requested one afterward. When it was emailed to me, and the total was R 4800. It didn’t reflect the R900 credit they had promised, also overcharged. I contacted Hamza, who had assisted me, only to be told she no longer works there. I then reached out to the store manager, Roderick, who said he would follow up—but I never heard back. This experience felt like a complete rip-off. I would not recommend using Mobifix. Oh and the cherry on top, I found another tech that actually fixed the phone!

I took my son's Samsung cell phone in for repair, it did not want to switch on anymore. After payment of the R300 assessment fee, they would update the next day. Nobody contacted me, 2 days passed and I tried to contact them, you can't phone them as their number does not work. I asked Stellenbosch MobiFix to give me the number of manager or owner, they did not want to give the owner's contact number. Three days later I got an email stating it's the main board, it's R600 to fix, it will take 2 days. I went there today to collect, they said they couldn't fix it and tried to sell me another phone. Needless to say, I'll never use them again and I hope this review saves someone the frustration I had to go through.

I went in for help with a bricked iPhone. They were extremely lovely and caring in such a stressful situation! The staff communicated really well with me and my phone was fixed in a matter of hours. I am really greatful for the kind customer service and the fast fix! Thank you

A disaster. I took my macbook pro to mobifix in George . It had a faulty screen. I had previously been using the computer with the lid closed and attached to an external monitor for over six months with zero issues. I decided to get the screen repaired or replaced so that my son could use the computer for collage.... And this is where it all went bad. Mobifix took my computer and reported back that it would need a new screen (the attached screen was not reparable) I then had to wait over two weeks, only to be told that they had ordered the wrong screen and could not get the correct screen (which is strange seeing as they are easily available on the internet) When I picked up my computer from Mobifix and took it home, it would no longer power up. The owner of the franchise in George denied that the computer was not working when they handed it back and has divorced himself from any responsibility. It worked when it was handed to the staff, it didn't work when they handed it back. Strange that they did not demonstrate that the machine was working when it was picked up from the store. Strange that they kept it for over two weeks at the store and could not get a replacement screen. The whole debacle has cost me an expensive macbook . The branch in Cape Town tried to help, but the manager there said at the end of the day, its a franchise and that they cannot be held responsible for the misdeeds of the George Branch. Save yourself money and stress, and do not use the George Branch of Mobifix.

Do not use Mobix. I took my phone in to the Stellenbosch branch to get a battery replacement. They confirmed they had a battery in stock, but kept it for 24 hours and returned it without a new battery. A month later and they still have not refunded me nor responded to my messages.
