I took my phone (iPhone 11) in for a battery change on the 15th of December 2025. Everything was fine until I had to update the software the next day. The software did not recognize the new battery so the phone kept on crashing and I had to take it back to the store. I spent the whole day at the store on the 18th and the problem was still not sorted out. The phone issue is one thing, but the fact that the manager (whom I have not seen) is not responding to my emails or offering any solution is extremely annoying. He is never at the store, so I'm at the mercy of his receptionists and technician, who haven't assisted at all.
I am really frustrated with DSTV’s. They signed me to a contract and they decide to debit twice the agreed amount. I’ve tried calling them about 5 times and they’re simply not interested in resolving the issue. Last time I left a review here over the same issue they responded by saying I will be contacted (I suppose to ensure that the records indicate that they responded), but to date no such phone call or email has been made from their side. This is the price we must pay as customers for their monopoly as a broadcaster. This is pure evil!
Multichoice called me last month about upgrading my decoder. The upgrade was to be free, as well the decoder, provided I sign a 24 month contract. It turned out to be all lies as they debited twice the normal subscription. I called them at least three times to rectify the issue to no avail. This is fraudulent in my opinion.
I ordered a gift for my wife’s birthday on the 2nd of February to be delivered on the 4th of February. To this day it’s still not delivered. It is one excuse after another.
I cancelled my Telkom Mobile contract is March/April, to this day they are still debiting my account. Every month or so I'm reversing their debits. This is fraudulent.
Internet connection and landlines have been down in Bendor (Polokwane) since the 3rd of January 2019. When I enquire Telkom’s response is that the problem is being handled remotely and there’s no turnaround time. This is completely unacceptable.
My package from USA was cleared by Customs on 25/10/17 and when I enquire with the Post Office I was informed that there's a 'backlog' and a delivery date for my package cannot be confirmed. I was also informed that I'm not allowed to fetch my packed either. This is just plain horrible service.
The sunroof of my car got torn while I was closing it. I was told by Discovery to go and get the car assessed to establish the extent of the damage, I did (twice). I was told to go for a further assessment at VW to determine if it was accidental damage or wear and tear. I've been to VW at least four times and today they pointed out that they will not be able to determine what caused the damage. Somehow Discovery still insist that VW must go back, even though I'm contracted to Discovery not VW, It would appear that Discovery would want nothing more than VW to say the damage was due to wear and tear, and they are not prepared to accept that it could either accidental or VW really cannot tell what caused the damage.
