Took deposit and disapeared

Mohamed Kader, business owner of Mos flooring, retested for a deposit so he could order material to do my floors (epoxy flooring). He sounded really desperate and nagged a lot. Before I paid the deposit I called his suppliers to confirm that h Mohamed does run this business and that he is supplied by them. After confirmation I paid. Later, when he was meant to commence on his duties, he said his cousin died and he has no money to complete the job as he spent his money on funeral. I suggested he applied for a loan because I would would only pay the balance after job was done as per our signed agreement. Once, again, he was nagging (whatsapps, msgs, emails and calls). I called his supplier and found that he had not bought any material in the first place.<br> So he resorted that since I wont pay the balance would have to wait until he had enough money.I am not he has stolen money from. He has also deactivated his facebook, website and gumtree add.
