Motion Fitness Makhado. (0920) Since May, I have been trying to cancel my membership, and despite multiple attempts, I only received a response in late July . On July 26, 2024, I had a distressing interaction with staff member. Despite my request for email communication, she called me, asked for my ID number, and informed me that the last debit order would go off at the end of August. This was frustrating as I had already requested the settlement amount for my account. She was rude during our conversation. When I requested to speak to a manager for clarity, she said the manager was unavailable and refused to provide the email address of the head office or a manager. When I mentioned filing a complaint and asked for her name, she abruptly hung up on me. This behavior is highly unprofessional. I then tried getting in contact with head office and still haven't gotten any response from anyone. I just want my settlement amount so that i can pay and NEVER go back there again (I've used this membership 4 months out of 24, due to a lack of service)

I joined this gym in louis trichardt being given a 24 months contract package without being told why the package is different.i did ask a lot of questions with regards to terminating and relocationg and not affording..i was told i can just cancel anytime when i want.i came to a point where i have to terminate because i got a job in another province and they do not have branches there.now they refuse to cancel let alone freeze the membership. I was also recruited and convinced to join for my younger sister whom i did explain at that time that she is a full time student only coming for holiday..i was told she can freeze her membership or cancels when she returns to school but now they refuse all that..so i am mow sitting with 2 huge accounts being billed while i am not using for the next 24months..😭😭😭

Do not make a mistake and join motion fitness gym,their a *****,and all their staff are always rude, their on my case harassing me saying I didn't make payments for months now,where else their deducting from my account every month, they don't even have numbers,numbers listed as their numbers,when you call they always say they don't work with them anymore,the biggest mistake I have ever made was to join that nonsense gym,I am fed up with their nonsense emails about paying while their deducting and also their rude calls

I gave notice of my gym membership cancelation for motion fitness louis trichardt ( which was on a month to month basis )1 month in advance and was told that my last debit order would be on the 15th. The gym debited my account twice on the 15th and after several attempts to get an update from Hazel ( whom i submitted my cancelation form to)on the cancelation and being told several times that their computers are not working they are now saying they will debit again on the 30th ( 3rd debit order in one month) . I asked to speak to the manager and was told she would only be back in January 2024 and I can't be helped till then.I asked for head office contacts and the number I was given is incorrect. I'm really disappointed in this gym after being a dilligent customer and will never sign up to a motion fitness again.

They debited our bank account on 1 November. When i spoke to Fulufhelo, he said that there are many clients who were debited incorrectly and that he would sort it out. NOthing happened. I have been speaking with them since 02 NOvember. Noone ever comes back to you ; not even head office replies to emails. Last week Monday i went into the Gym and spoke to the admiin manager, a man wiith Dreadlocks. He saiid he would keep me updated throughout the week. Its now the following week and i have heard nothing. I am busy drafting a letter which i am sendiing to the Local Paper to warn the residents of Louis Trichardt. I will also be posting the article on the local facebook groups as well as as local whatsapp , Telegram and Slack groups. This gym will not make it iin thiis town the way things are going. There is absolutely no one taking responsiblity for anything in this gym.

Would give a 0 if that was possible. I had a membership at the Worcester branch that had just come out of the 2 year membership period and I was moving at the end of April. I asked the front desk staff several times when I had to give my notice as I was leaving end of April so want to make sure I cancel on time so I don't have to pay extra fees as I had seen they are big ****s and try to make people pay for things they didn't receive in my 2 years gyming there. So at the end of March when I paid my account I also gave my 30 days notice. I received an email to say my membership cancelation request had been approved and my last payment was for the month of April (which I paid at the end of March as gym memberships get paid upfront and not in arrears). And ofcourse they are now still trying to charge me monthly fees saying I needed to pay them for an additional month at the end of April?? How does that work? If I pay at the end of April I can gym until the end of May, so then I've given 60 days notice and an extra payment? Every time I email them asking about this, and asking for clarification on whether the monthly fees are paid upfront or in arrears they ignore me and just keep adding another monthly fee to the bill. What a pathetic example of a gym

Very poor service at Worcester gym - pool has been unheated to 2.5 months and can't ever get hold of manager to find out if there is a plan to fix it. A frequent problem. I wish there was a Virgin Active locally - I wouldn't hesitate to switch.
