Review: I bought a second-hand car from Honda Motus East Rand and unfortunately my experience has been very disappointing. When I collected the car, it was still registered in Gauteng (GP plates), even though I live in North West. I was told by the dealership to register the car myself in North West and that they would refund me. I went ahead and did that, but I have now been struggling for over 9 months to get my refund, with no clear answers or urgency from their side. On top of this, I was also charged for registration fees when purchasing the vehicle, which makes the situation even more unacceptable. A dealership of this size should value their customers and resolve issues quickly and professionally. Unfortunately, I have experienced the opposite — constant delays, empty promises, and no proper communication. I would advise anyone considering buying from this dealership to be very cautious and double-check everything in writing before making payment.

I would like to bring to your attention my disappointment regarding servicing of 1 of our Hondas. On Friday last week I brought in my vehicle, just did the service, got the cost and vehicle was left until Monday due to time constraints for collection. On Saturday evening I received a message from my boss showing a special on Honda service for R1400 until the end of February 2025. He asked me why I was not told about this. On Monday he showed me the message again and said that I should ask abt it. Long story short, when we got to the dealership we were told it's a hoax and that they didn't know anything abt it. That a few other customers mentioned it as well. We must ignore it. Well, we will not just ignore it as I went onto your legit Facebook page when I got home and looked into it. We even booked on the site and it gave contact details of you being the DP and the contact details. And the ad popped up numerous times during the cause of the evening. IT WAS NO HOAX. Guess what by Tuesday midday it was gone. I would like to know why did your staff not honor the cost or give a goodwill cost instead of lying to us by saying it's a hoax. The only reason we paid the R4200 plus and left, was that it was late afternoon and to do investigation which I did and it's was a Legit ad. Kindly note that Honda SA is copied on this mail as we only bring our cars to you and to get this attitude has left a bad taste to us. In addition, why was there no courtesy call (which is the reason for the delay in email...still waiting for survey call) to ask how the service was. I get a call everytime i bring the vehicles in. Was it because we would bring up this issue. I feel that this ad should be honored and not just removed from your site and the dealership pretend like we didn't see it. Kindly note we have a fleet vehicles not just the Hondas.

Integrity in question. Don’t fall for the R1400 special service ****, it’s just to get you there Booked my car in for a minor service, get a call advising that there’s a crank shaft leak which will cost 5k + luckily I declined as my car was all of a sudden ****ing oil when it never did prior to the service, checked it by another mechanic and he told me they messed something else up, only costed me a few hundreds and now there’s no leak.

Cannot get hold of the on the phone, my car makes noise on the front suspension and they claim to have tightened the suspension. Cv joints making noise and they didn't fix or give me a quotation. I must pay for diagnostics whilst they had the car for service and claim to have tightened front suspension.

I must say I'm really disappointed with this dealership - hoping to purchase a motorbike from a reputable dealer in order to get some peace of mind. I purchased a used motorbike from this dealership (the bike had just over 30 000km) and was in good condition, having only minor things mostly cosmetic items to fix. The bike did not have a FSH so the dealership agreed to do a oil service before I took delivery. After taking delivery I was going through the bike with a fine tooth comb and saw the air filter was very dirty so I decided to take the bike to a certified BMW mechanic to give it a thorough inspection and service. All was well but he informed me that the oil was pitch black and has not been changed for some time and that the protection plate over the sump was missing 3 of the 4 mounting rubbers and bolts. This was then replaced at my own cost. I contacted Motus Honda (East Rand) to inform them and request some feedback and compensation for these items which should have been replaced as part of the pre sale oil service. Long story short they refuse to reimburse me - that's terrible service in my books - please don't take the dealerships word and inspect for yourself. I will give credit where it is due - the saleswoman was great but the workshop and service department...you guys must catch a game and learn a thing or two in customer service. Bike was also delivered with the below license disk holder.
