Accident damaged vehicles
I hope for your sake you make an informed decision; you will regret signing up with this company. Sooner or later, they will suck your pockets dry. Also be aware that these are accident damaged vehicles. Trust me, you can be a little bit more patient, you'll find a better deal elsewhere.

The vehicle that you renting from us is a BMW 320i, 2014 F30.
When the car was brought in to us you confirmed that you hit a pot hole which caused damage to the vehicle. on inspection we confirmed that a complete new suspension as the impact was so severe that the body of the car collapsed on to the wheel of the car which made it undrivable. After we had stripped the vehicle we found that the following components needing replacing Control Arm, Ball Joints, Top Shock mounting, both shocks as we cannot replace one, Rim as well as 2 front tyres as we could not replace one as it is not advisable from a road worthy perspective. all of this damage amounted to around R13 500,00 excluding Labour which would have amounted to a further +- R9775,00. We advised you that due to the fact that we will conduct the repair we will waive the Labour fee and due to your excess fee is R12 000,00 will only charge you this amount and absorb the rest.
This is full explanation on what transpired, we only charged you what you were rightfully liable for. Further to this yesterday the 28 March 2023 at around 14:25 i sent you an email accepting your request to pay R2000,00 today towards the excess payment that is due and collect your car and pay the balance of the R10 000,00 with your next installment that's due on the 24 April 2023.
I feel your statement above is unjustified and lacks substance. we are a business that assists clients with obtaining a vehicle on a Rent To Buy program because every other avenue has failed them, we provide a motoring solution that assists clients with their everyday motoring requirements. all that our customers are liable for is an excess payment of R12 000,00 which is a requirement from our respective Insurer for when the car is involved in an accident, theft or hijacking or the client is liable for any damage that is caused by themselves that we can repair for less than R12 000,00, everything else is covered by MySmartDrive.

30 Mar 2023, 03:39Also, upon collection (by towing) of the damaged vehicle that I'm renting from you a courtesy vehicle was issued to me while busy assessing the extent of the damage and repairs. A few days later the courtesy vehicle was collected from me, now after making payment arrangements for the excess amount, I get an email that I have to make a further R5000 payment for "repossession fee" which doesn't make sense because I never missed or made late payments to the vehicle that I'm renting.
Not forgetting that the contract I signed with MySmartDrive qualifies me to get access to a courtesy vehicle in such an event - At least not until you emailed me a "NEW T's and C's ADDENDUM" cancelling out this "benefit".
Each time we seem to be getting closer to an agreement something new always comes up.
This is a matter of taking advantage of your clients simply because you believe "every other avenue has failed them."
I hope for your sake, you review your procedures and introspect on your ethics and integrity. You're not doing any client a favour by honouring your end of the agreement.
Not forgetting that the contract I signed with MySmartDrive qualifies me to get access to a courtesy vehicle in such an event - At least not until you emailed me a "NEW T's and C's ADDENDUM" cancelling out this "benefit".
