Umlazi they never answer phones therefore they can not be dispatched….last week I couldn’t get an ambulance because nobody was there to assist therefore a 112 told me ti drop the call and call back later cause he was not going to keep on trying whilst Umlazi state ambulance wasn’t responding.

I called an embulance yesterday at 2pm and i was told embulances are not available. I kept on calling to follow up still there was no embulance dispatched. We initiated to take him to Chiawelo Clinic emergency at 18:00pm and he is still there waiting for embulance to take him to hospital. Its the following days 4:38 we slept on banches and we not allowed to leave the patient at the clinic because he needs an embulance escort. Everyone is sleeping including the securities. Iys been 14 hours and waiting no embulance has been available. Why is it even called emergency services

My friend had an accident on the 27th of Jan 2019 where he fell off the 7th floor railings at Kool Out Rooftop party on 77 Commissioner Street, in Marshalltown. We called an ambulance (which took 45 mins) to get there and while we were waiting for it, we managed to flag one down passing by. They came took his pulse and said he is okay, his still alive and they left. When the ambulance which we called got to us, the pronounced him dead on arrival. Those responsible (The paramedics that left him to die) need to be accountable for their actions.

I had phoned the emergency 10177 for an ambulance in KZN - Durban. An employee by the name of Marriam at the call centre did not know what the number was for EMRS Durban??? Gosh! Shocking! Might I add this was an emergency. Hence the reason I call for an ambulance. "pathetic " is an understatement for EMRS.

There response times are terrible, and I don’t blame them as Government does not supply them with adequate equipment including Response vehicles. It has been said that they always have an excuse that there are no funds available. So what is the Minster of Health doing about this????

I have heard that the EMRS Ambulance don’t even have bandages. This is how bad it really is. Addington Provincial Hospital and RK Khans Hospital in Durban does not even have bed sheets. So you can expect to be transferred onto a ****** smelly dirty stretcher when you’re in an emergency and being transported to these Hospitals. These is just the tip of the ice berg of complaints. I am sure there many more.

But naive people of South Africa still vote for the current Government to run this country??? Really/ How thick headed can one be?
