I've received the following email from NCUBEIC: Your Mbombela Municipality account has been handed over to Ncube Attorneys for legal action, Kindly note that you are required to settle your account within 7 days of receipt of this notice to avoid a possibility of further legal action or having your services terminated. I've paid the account but when I checked the account number I found out it wasn't my account. I'd given them the correct number and asked them to transfer it to my account number but no feedback.

Hello everyone, I would appreciate some assistance in clarifying a situation. Recently, I received calls from individuals claiming to be lawyers, informing me that my NSFAS (National Student Financial Aid Scheme) account has been handed over to them for repayment. While I acknowledge my responsibility to repay NSFAS, what confuses me is that I have not received any official communication from NSFAS regarding this matter. The lawyers insist that I make payments through them, but they are unwilling to provide any documentation or evidence to prove that my account has indeed been assigned to them, or that I am required to pay an amount of R90,000 through their services. This situation is perplexing to me because their behavior raises suspicions of potential ****ming. Their refusal to produce any form of documentation or proof suggesting their communication with NSFAS adds to my concerns. I kindly request someone's assistance before proceeding with any payments to these individuals, as I want to ensure that I am not falling victim to a ****. Thank you for your help.

My municipal account at City of Tshwane account (7000019480)is in arrears because of many reasons but the main reason is that I received no accounts during the Covid period. I received various messages (SMS and email) over time to pay from several persons at Ncube Inc (eleanor@ncubeinc.co.za , xolile@ncubeinc.co.za , connie@ncubeinc.co.za, hendrik@ncubeinc.co.za , Chantell van Kramberg (chantell@ncube.co.za) and I always responded but never received any feedback on my proposal.

1 star is too much for Ncube Inc attorneys. They don't communicate properly, they can't assist you properly. The thing that they're good at is sending emails / letters with escalated amounts owing every time they send it, without properly explaining how and why it got to that amount. I once contacted their offices and they dropped the call on me. They are sending different letters (of threats) with different account numbers. May Ncube Inc attorneys be closed down and stop robbing people to enrich themselves. They are bad for business

Due to the pandemic I got financially into trouble, which is not an excuse for not paying my account. But Vodacom handed me over to this disgrace of a company. Due to non-payment, Vodacom cancelled my phone number which means I cannot get phone calls or sms's from anyone. Today my mom, who is a pensioner and very frail received a sms from Ncube Inc threatening her about legal action. She phoned me in a panic and gave me the cell number on the sms. I tried phoning this number 0871091859 which nobody answers. I eventually Google'd their office number and got to speak to the most disgusting human being ever. I asked her who gave them permission to contact another person about my debt... and not only contact, but threaten with legal action. She laughed and said Vodacom gave them permission. I explained to her that a 90 year old pensioner should not be threatened for other peoples debt. With a smirkey attitude she replied "Well at least you got the message". This made me furious. What kind of unethical and unprofessional people are you to send threats to peoples phones who are not the ones who was handed over to you. You could have phoned them and politely ask for an alternative number where I could be reached, but sending them a message telling them that I must settle my account or face legal action is unacceptable. You are a disgrace to humanity and go out of your way to embarrass people. Refer to the code of Conduct for debt collectors: "(2) A debt collector, in the process of collecting a debt, shall have due regard for the person, the property and the civil rights of a debtor, and shall ensure that any action taken against a debtor does not humiliate, threaten or cause distress .to such a debtor. It is clear that this company has no values and don't abide by the same rules of conduct. I placed myself under debt review and when the debt review company only wanted to include my bank loans in the process, I requested Vodacom be added as I sincerely wanted to settle this account. After spoken to this horrible company, I should have gone for bankruptcy and then we see where Vodacom gets their money from

I would like some clarity on a few points leading up to today with Ncube Inc of which they say my account was handed over to them from NSFAS. I was told today to make a payment of R1000 to avoid further action today from the above mentioned law firm via sms and I was enraged when I think about the communication between us, please read below and find accompanying screen shots attached. On the 17th March 2021 I spoke to Nokululeko stating I was handed over from NSFAS and I should pay R1500 month end total loan being R94 000, I then asked him if I was handed over when was I contacted by the organization of which I owe to start repayments, to ask if I was working, how much I would be willing to pay, when I can start etc as that is what is supposed to be done? Since 2018 to date there was no form of communication mentioning the above to me and then all of a sudden I'm handed over just like that. He told me he doesn't have an answer, all he knows is that I have to pay. Okay, I then told him what they were asking for was too steep and I could only afford R1000. He said that since I had to start paying the month before which was February; not knowing who finalized that agreement with them but anyway, I should pay R200 on the 25th March then start paying R1000 from then on. I then told him I will need him to send me some sort of documentation for me to read and go through before binding myself to paying anything and he said we will do so. After the call he sent me the account details and where I should send proof of payment but no documentation what so ever, on the 23rd of March 2021 I sent him an email as a reminder that I am still waiting for documentation as I saw month end was fast approaching; no response. On the 25th of March Nnoi Pholo responsed with banking details not knowing where she read that from and totally disregarding my request for documentation, I yet again responded stating I had asked for documentation before making payment. She then responded with a eye opener; asking me to send her my ID no. in order for her to access my account. If I was handed over they should have everything and be able to send what I need even without me asking let alone the need of giving them my ID no. On the 30th of March I had not gotten a response yet again I reminded them to send me documents, again I was asked for my ID no. this time from Amogelang Mokhothi on the 6th of April 2021 from the same firm. I was so frustrated and it raised my eyebrows, is this even legit or is it a scam because I do not understand why I am given the run around when Ncube Inc approached me but when it comes to money they can send me notifications and banking details on end. I then sent a response stating that I will contact NSFAS directly because I do not understand what was going on, I will not pay money then 3 years down the line when NSFAS eventually contacts me I realize I have been drooped and they had no connection with this arrangement. I then sent NSFAS and email after calling various numbers to no avail to get some clarity, to speak to them directly and make arrangements together attachment with my contacts and stating that I am willing to make arrangements but only straight through them. I then took it upon myself to research the correct procedure when it comes to repayment on the NSFAS website, I found that: No account should be handed over prior to the organization themselves trying to contact the debtor of which this was not done so why did lawyers contact me. With repayments again, NSFAS themselves directly deals with the debtor when they want the debtor to possibly start paying; to make negotiations of affordability, to check if you are working, how much will you be willing to pay, for how long and keeping in mind there is no set deadline when you have to start paying back the loan, even after they may have contacted you visa versa. Also, It is up to the debtor in most cases to contact the organization when they are ready to pay, the sooner the better but nowhere does it state being handed over to lawyers telling you to pay if not there will be further action against you, this applies to all their beneficiaries no matter how long you have been owing the organization without paying added to that you cannot be blacklisted under any circumstance what so ever. So please help me understand how lawyers go ahold of me, delegating my repayments when NSFAS had no prior contact with me, being pushed to transfer money to the firm without a written agreement nor any sort of documentation to date. Until this has been explained I would like Ncube Inc to leave me alone and NSFAS take over, I will not be paying anything to anyone until then.
