Forget about your deposit refund
For those waiting for your deposit refund, forget about it. Don't even bother taking them to the tribunal. They will not show up for the mediation or court date but the tribunal will rule in their favour. Wondering how? ... anyway, my advise, leave them in the hands of the righteous and just God and walk away .

Xoliswa here, I was staying at Hemingway Heights property unit 13 and I moved out on the 29th of August 2023 and I haven't received my deposit of R5150 and R200 for the key, I contacted them they said they are going to send me a breakdown of the deposit, Out of R5150 they are willing to refund R400 only, they are going to take R3000 for paint if I knew this before I wasn't going to occupy the flat and it is not stated anywhere in the lease agreement , R450 to clean the unit which I left spotless, R500 for the remote and I gave them their keys and the remote which I bought when I moved in, curtain rail kitchen R180, rails were all there when I left.
