After several disappointing experiences with other companies, we discovered Nkosi Grasdakke, and it was a real pleasure dealing with such a professional outfit. From the outset, the team demonstrated strong professionalism, clear communication, and reliability throughout the entire process. The team on the ground was particularly impressive—friendly, respectful, and highly professional at all times. They kept us consistently informed of progress, which gave us confidence in the work being done. The worksite was left clean and well-organised each day, reflecting a high standard of workmanship and pride in their service. The workmanship on the thatch roofing was of an excellent standard, with careful attention to detail and a clear focus on durability and finish quality. During the rethatching of our lapa, the team also provided excellent practical advice on maintenance and long-term care, which was greatly appreciated and demonstrated their experience and expertise. They further demonstrated a clear understanding of the applicable building regulations and compliance requirements relating to lapa and thatch structures, providing sound guidance that ensured the work aligned with appropriate safety and construction standards. The delightful experience with Nkosi Grasdakke was a highlight for 2025. From the professional response to the request for a quotation to re-thatch an occupied dwelling (which included a thorough site inspection and report) to the final call to confirm satisfactorily completion were astonishing service and craftsmanship the order of the day. To complete the project on time following all the difficulties to move, cover and protect furniture while keeping the dwelling liveable proves proper planning and programming. Truly a recommendable company

Normally a small order is frowned upon by companies, but not here. I felt as if I had done a multi million Rand transaction. Friendly and helpful from the first call with my very small request. What a company to deal with.. WELL DONE

Only Thatchers you should use
The team was assigned by our insurance company and could not recommend them enough. Everyone who was at my home where extremely respectful of my home, my family, and animals. The team was very quick and efficient, and I think my home was left cleaner then when they arrived.
