I would just like to advise anyone thinking of doing business regarding stands, at Northern Aquatics, to please stay clear. I sent them professionally drawn directions, they charged me R2900 for the 1.2m stand plus R300 for warped shutterply pieces on top. The stand is wonky, uneven, not level, not even squarely welded and out by half a cm FROM THE MIDDLE TO THE SIDE. I even pulled pieces of welding rod off with my hand that they didn't clean and just sprayed over. My opti white tank of almost R10k would've burst on this terribly made stand. It cost me just over a R1000 in materials from grinding blades, angle iron, welding rods, spray paint, and a whole sunday afternoon at a friends workshop to fix their terrible work. An absolute blessing to have a friend that can help. I raised the issue with them via Whatsapp & Email, they ignored me until I threatened them with a review. I wanted to be fair about it, and give them a chance to reimburse me for the terrible job my friend had to fix. They asked me to bring the stand back in AFTER WE ALREADY FIXED IT and when I told them it's useless to bring in, as it's already fixed, they just ignored me. I wish I could attached all the photo's here, I sent them all to them in the initial email. I'm still being ignored almost 5 days later. They just don't take accountability, ownership, their business or customers seriously, even when you as a customer try to do the right thing to give them a chance to remedy the situation. Stay away if you value your money, time, aquarium hobby and want to do honest business! They will never see me again.

Twice I have bought plants or Livestock from this shop and twice I have had an Ick outbreak after adding to my aquariums. Last month I bought an Electric Blue acara named Cosmo, two days after he was in his new home I noticed he had Ick, I tried my best to treat the problem but I was not able to save my new Pet... I went back to the pet store to get my money back, Manager there totally dismissed my argument and told me he could not do anything to help. I will NEVER be buying anything from this Store again.

Poor service! <br> <br> My 15 year old daughter bought a dog bed from them<br> When she got home, and opened it, we saw that the bed had dirty marks on it.<br> I thought that would be okay, as I can wash it out. but before we did anything else, we discovered that the bed was too small for our dog and the dog didn't like it. So we put it back in the same bag, and I returned it to the store.<br> The lady refused to accept it as it was dirty. (regardless to the fact that they sold it to me so, as that was how I found it when I opened it. and we returned it to the bag immediately to be returned). <br> <br> Everything in their store is covered with dust and dirt. The bag the bed was in had some rips so I assumed some of the dirt got in there. <br> To be honest with you, the dirt wasn't the big issue for me, as if the bed was big enough for our dog, I would have just washed it. <br> But the fact that they sell items that is dirty, and then not accept it back. Having a bad attitude toward the customer, is TOTALLY unacceptable.<br> <br> I won't be doing business with them ever again!
