We app**** for be a vendor at their event, advertised to be exciting and vibrant. We were promised the following;
The Northgate Road Race has a rich legacy spanning nearly three decades, attracting a vibrant and engaged community of over 1,200 participants, along with their families and friends. It presents a unique opportunity for vendors like yourself to connect with this dynamic audience in a memorable way.
We were excited,and we agreed to pay R1725 to be a vendor. We understand no one knows what can happen and it's a gamble being a vendor.
But to charge R1725 for a parking lot stand is unacceptable. There were no where near the amount of people promised,not anything exciting to keep the runners around. They ran the race and left immediately.
The organisers had realised once we had told the the stall fees were extremely high, and they offered to reimburse us.
Till today we have not received a cent.
I would never do a market at the Northgate shopping centre ever again.
Future vendors just be aware.
