I was so impressed with the marketing of this school, small classes, what they offer and obviously it's CURRO. My child attended other curro schools and I was always happy.
In the first 2 weeks I was told my child should actually go back a grade and he was wrongly placed. I explained that my child is seeing an OT and the previous schoold accomodated him by incorporating recommendations from the specialist within this classroom. It was then clear they do not want children that is not A students. I even took him for another assessment which costs me money not once did they consider that assessments and see how they can assist in the classroom.
I complained about bullying whereby the other kids make my child feel that he doesn't belong there, he is not as clever as them. Instead of addressing it they went to find cases against him.
During the 2 ND term my child had a breakdown saying he is not clever as the peers and hate school. I then decided to look for other schools because they instilled anxiousness within him, affected my child's self esteem and confidence. During a meeting with the teachers I was informed that they were aware that children would question my child's capabilities and they would just address with the kids and not consider that as bullying. They contributed to my son's anxiety. I have advice for parents considering this school, if your child is not performing academically well and not an A student do not consider this school. I recommended that the school use that in their marketing posts as well.
